The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant with 5+ years' experience (audit plus industry, acquisition accounting, and NetSuite/Blackline preferred).Job Description:\nAreas of Responsibility:\nOversee review and compilation of various month end deliverables prepared by the portfolio businesses\n\nAssist in the integration of acquired companies’ financial reporting and processes, including system implementation, business combination accounting and opening balance sheet audits\n\nReview of journal entries and account reconciliations for the Portfolio and some businesses being integrated, as required\n\nManaging all intercompany relationships between the Portfolio and other affiliated entities, including overseeing documentation, entries and reconciliations\n\nWorking with Finance teams of the businesses and group finance leads on longer-term projects to drive efficiencies or more accurate management reporting\n\nAct as an escalation point for technical IFRS accounting queries arising from businesses and groups\n\nMonitor timely completion of local external audits as required\n\nTrack Debt covenant compliance and propose actions where appropriate\n\nAssist in systems implementations and best practice sharing where appropriate for NetSuite and supporting modules.\n\nEnsure compliance at a local level of control processes, reconciliations and financial reporting through Blackline and our global peer review process.\n\nProfile\nThe right candidate is a qualified accountant, with at least 5 years’ experience, potentially having worked in a large audit firm plus industry experience.\n\nSolid audit experience essential\n\nExcellent technical accounting skills, including acquisition accounting (we complete multiple acquisitions each year)\n\nPreferably brings experience in risk management, systems improvement and managing finance change — for example system implementations, process redesign and post-acquisition integration\n\nComfortable working to tight deadlines and willing to get into the detail\n\nConfident Excel skills\n\nPortuguese or Spanish skills an advantage\n\nYour personality\nEnjoy a fast-changing environment, which provides great opportunities for future growth\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, combined with an engaging personality, allowing you to clearly specify what you need and encourage a dispersed team to provide timely and high quality responses\n\nMotivated to do great work and to bring out the best in the people around you\n\nMotivated to seek new knowledge and enjoys continuous learning and knowledge sharing\n\nA natural collaborator who builds trust across teams and helps a dispersed, multi-entity finance community deliver together\n\nWilling to go out of your way to help our Portfolio businesses\n\nPositive, curious, humble and above all eager to learn and provide value to the finance community in the Portfolio\n\nFlexible and adaptable with ability to work flexible hours across time zones where necessary\n\nAlways open, honest, reliable, and trustworthy\n\nPractical\nSome travel is required.
