We currently process about £34 billion annually and issue cards to over 40 countries. We are also building out features which localise the spending experience no matter where you are.\nAs an Android Engineer, you would be responsible for shipping the direct customer touch points on one of Wise's most impactful products and highest growth products.\nWhat you will do:\nYou will contribute to the technical execution of our mobile product, working closely with backend, frontend, and product teams to deliver high-quality features.\nYour day-to-day focus will be:\nContribute to engineer-driven product initiatives. You will be involved in the implementation and technical planning of features, ensuring they are shipped effectively and scalable.\n\nSupport the development of the card product across our product teams. This includes working on key user flows like card ordering, transacting, 3DS authentication, and dispute resolution alongside other engineers.\n\nWrite clean, maintainable code on your platform, advocate for mobile best practices, and collaborate with the wider globally distributed tribe to ensure a seamless mobile experience.\n\nInfluence one of Wise’s most recognisable and high-traffic products.\n\nDrive product evolution by actively contributing to strategic direction and technical roadmaps, moving beyond mere execution to shape the future of our offerings.\n\nWork in a healthy environment built on transparency, ownership, and trust, alongside a very talented group of frontend, backend, and product peers.\n\nQualifications\nAbout you:\nWe are looking for a highly technical, product-passionate Android engineer who brings:\nAt least 3 years of hands-on experience developing Android applications\n\nSolid experience building, shipping, and maintaining high-performing apps on Android.\n\nExperience working with modern Android UI development (Jetpack Compose).\n\nA passion for customer experience. You look for ways to fix customer pain-points and use data to support your technical decisions.\n\nExcellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical peers.\n\nA collaborative mindset, thriving in a globally distributed squad and tribe environment, working as a strong team player who contributes to the team’s collective success.\n\nAdditional Information\nFor everyone, everywhere.
