This role is an exciting opportunity for you if you have significant risk management experience and are looking to do impactful work. The role will be under the APAC Risk team and reports to the Regional Head of Risk for South East Asia and South Asia.\nHere’s what will you be doing:\nAct as the primary risk partner for the business in India, developing and executing a global risk management strategy tailored to India. \nImplement the Wise enterprise risk management framework, risk appetite, and other applicable risk policies at the local level to support India in managing risks effectively and meeting local regulatory requirements. \nManage local regulatory relationships and engagement, representing the management during regulatory reviews around risk; \nDrive/review risk and controls self-assessments and documentation by first-line functions/risk owners, providing risk advisory and second-line review and challenge where relevant; \nCollaborate with product teams to integrate risk insights into product changes, new product launches, and address emerging risks in the region.\nInvestigate incidents to determine root cause and impact, specifically regarding incidents, and supporting remediation efforts; \nReport risk updates directly to the local Board of Directors and the Regional Head of Risk; \nCreate risk awareness through training and regular communications to first-line teams and supporting them in regulatory or internal audits; and \nInvolvement in regional or global projects to ensure local compliance and integration with global risk toolsets.\nQualifications\nSignificant experience (8+ years) in the financial services or payments industry, with deep expertise in the local regulatory landscape in India.\nDemonstrated experience in developing and implementing comprehensive risk management frameworks, with a strong command of governance, risk reporting, and risk policy oversight.\nProven track record of engaging with executive leadership, board members, and external regulators; exceptional ability to influence and lead across cross-functional, global teams.\nExtensive experience in enterprise risk, operational risk, regulatory risk and/or technology risk management. \nProven track record of successfully leading and project managing risk management initiatives with strong business engagement.\nStrategic mindset and ability to operate independently, bridging local operational needs with global risk standards in a fast-paced environment.\nAdditional Information\nFor everyone, everywhere.
