You will make recommendations to improve governance, risk management and internal controls. You will also play a vital role in performing audit plan development and risk assessment activities in the portfolio. You will be responsible for planning, assigning, and supervising the operational activities of the team as well as completing your own tasks.\nThe role presents a great opportunity to focus on the development and delivery of audit engagements in a fast paced environment, focussed on data driven audit techniques and continuous monitoring. Relevant experience working in assurance, risk or control roles and deploying technology enabled assurance is key to driving the internal audit agenda.\nWe are a 5 year old team that is still forming and storming (we have grown from 2 to 50+ people in this time), therefore you have the unique opportunity to collaborate and shape the operations, methodology and approaches of the Internal Audit function.\nYour mission\nSupport the implementation and operation of the internal audit assurance framework, including development of continuous monitoring and automated audit routines.\n\nSupport development of the annual audit plan for the non-financial Risk & Regulatory domain, including the audit universe, risk assessment processes and budgeting processes.\n\nDeliver audits per the audit plan to ensure timely and relevant audit outcomes.\n\nSupport in building and supporting a strong and self-sufficient internal audit team.\n\nMonitor the implementation of Internal Audit recommendations by the teams and measure the effectiveness of the improvements.\n\nDevelop strong relationships with key stakeholders, internally and externally.\n\nThe role is UK-based, but many of our teams are located across different office locations. You will travel as needed to meet your objectives.\n\nA bit about you\nSkills:\nYou have clear working knowledge of investment management and investment services processes and expected controls and worked in these areas or performed audits in these areas. You are familiar with the applicable UK and EU regulations (MIFIR/D, COBS, IFR, AML/CFT etc.))\n\nYou have proven experience working in risk, control or assurance and you want to continuously improve how to get the job done.\n\nYou have working knowledge of global regulatory frameworks and requirements relevant to payments, fintech and/or broader financial services firms, such as Consumer Protection & Conduct, Outsourcing & Third Party Management, Risk Management, Governance, and Regulatory Reporting.\n\nYou have worked in technology, fintech or broader financial services industries.\n\nYou are able to work independently, you assume responsibility and you make your own judgement.\n\nYou are prepared to take ownership over complex new areas and solve problems with no or very limited guidance and know when to escalate and ask for support.\n\nYou have very strong coordination skills and you are able to hold teams accountable for meeting deadlines and delivering high quality outputs.\n\nYou are agile and adaptable to change.\n\nYou seek to use data analytics and technology in your work and decision making processes. Practical experience in data analytics preferred.\n\nYou demonstrate attention to details but can summarise key messages succinctly, verbally and in writing, adjusting your style and level of information based on the target audience.\n\nYou’re curious - you’re great at asking insightful questions to understand the real issues and deliver the right outcomes.\n\nYou are passionate about driving change, making improvements and helping stakeholders.\n\nYou are not afraid of making decisions, can work autonomously and take initiative.\n\nYou’re a strong relationship builder across all levels of the business and externally. You manage and influence stakeholders with ease.\n\nYou are collaborative - you enjoy sharing your knowledge and upskilling others.\n\nExperience:\nAt least 8 years of relevant experience in assurance, risk or control roles, in investment management and services areas.\n\nYou have led and managed collaboration projects involving internal and external teams.\n\nYou have worked in a multinational environment across different cultures and countries.\n\nProfessional qualification: CPA/ACA/ACCA/CIA/CISA.\n\nYou have worked in regulated environments, Fintech or Financial Services.\n\nAdditional Information\nFor everyone, everywhere.
