Max ease. Full speed.\nWhether people and businesses are sending money to another country, spending abroad, or making and receiving international payments, Wise is on a mission to make their lives easier and save them money.\nAs part of our team, you will be helping us create an entirely new network for the world's money.\nFor everyone, everywhere.\nMore about our mission and what we offer.\nJob Description\nWe’re looking for an exceptional Principal Product Designer to join our award-winning design team. Based in Sao Paulo, you’ll be joining our rapidly growing LATAM squad - helping grow our market-share by shipping new region specific features and journeys. You’ll understand the needs of our customers and deliver work that feels familiar, scalable and unmistakably Wise.\nYour mission:\nThis is a unique opportunity to be our first designer in LATAM. Reporting to the Design Director for Regional, you’ll play a key role in shaping a product used by millions to substantially improve the experience for our US customers. This role requires craft, curiosity, and collaboration.\nAs a Principal-level individual contributor, you’ll be establishing and raising the bar for the design of the Wise product in this region. Our product is global by scale and design, yet we’re aware that locally relevant and familiar experiences are key to building a product that users love and use everyday. You’ll be able to balance systems thinking with market specific insight to deliver upon this mission.\nDay to day you’ll be working with an Sao Paolo-based full-stack team of product, marketing, analytics, engineering, banking and compliance. We move fast, ship constantly, and obsessively chase market fit. What makes our team unique is that we have the financial, technical and design firepower of the Wise global business behind us.\nWhat you’ll be doing:\nBuilding connections. Partner with product teams to discover customer needs and use those insights to create bold, scalable experiences that engage, convert and/or retain.\n\nChampioning craft. You’ll work on initiatives that span the Wise customer journey. Whatever the surface or context, you’ll deliver work that sets the bar and delights our customers\n\nBuilding influence. Champion a design-driven approach by effectively communicating your rationale through clear and compelling storytelling\n\nLeading by making. Identify opportunities, prioritise what matters, and drive the outcome forward through what you create.\n\nThis role will give you the opportunity to:\nShip work you’re proud of. Craft experiences that are innovative, easy to use and clear.\n\nFlex your skillset. You’ll enjoy a variety of problems that need to be solved in different ways.\n\nOwn your impact. You’ll decide what opportunities to work on, and define their success metrics.\n\nElevate product quality. You define what ‘good’ looks like to your team. And you help them deliver it.\n\nBe part of a positive change in the world. We’re fixing a broken, greedy system, and putting people and businesses in control of their money.\n\nQualifications\nExceptional craft skills. You’re a seasoned multidisciplinary designer with a deep understanding of design fundamentals and a strong track record of delivering high-quality work across a variety of different touch-points. You’ve got a portfolio of well-crafted, impactful work that solves real problems for real people backed up by 10+ years of experience.\n\nExpert in Figma and AI-curious. From detailed design in Figma, to prototyping with Claude and Make - we’re interested in a mix of tooling experience and an openness to trying new things and a bias to making.\n\nSystems thinker. You connect global patterns, behaviours, and identify opportunities to innovate at a local level - flexing where necessary without fragmentation.\n\nStrategic partner. You balance polish with purpose, ensuring design decisions ladder up to real user and business outcomes.\n\nCollaborative by default. You’re a natural collaborator, designing in the open, leveraging other functions’ expertise and taking them on the journey with you.\n\nConfident communication skills. You provide clear rationale to advocate for a design-led approach, sharing this approach with your team and stakeholders alike.\n\nAdditional Information\n RSU’s in a rapidly growing company\n Flexible working model - During the first six months, you’ll be in office most days of the week to become fully immersed in Wise’s culture and ways of working. After the initial period, you’ll be in office at least 3 days per week. \n An annual self-development budget\n Health and dental allowance for you and your dependents\n Company-paid: Life Insurance, and an EAP program\n Paid time off: 30 days vacation + 3 “Me” days + 1 volunteer day, annually\n A paid 6-week sabbatical leave after four years\n 8 weeks of paid parental leave, after a year with us and child care assistance\n Transportation vouchers\n Food (708 BRL per month) and Meal (1,166 BRL per month) vouchers\n TotalPass access to 3,500 gyms and studios throughout Brazil\nWe’re people without borders - without judgement or prejudice, too. So if you’re passionate about learning new things and keen to join our mission, you’ll fit right in.\nAlso, educational qualifications aren’t that important to us. If you’ve got great experience, and you’re great at articulating your thinking, we’d like to hear from you.\nAnd because we believe that diverse teams build better products, we’d especially love to hear from you if you’re from an under-represented demographic.\nFor everyone, everywhere.
