The role will span across both safeguarding for payments and e-money and investment business and offers a fantastic opportunity to learn about the handovers between the regimes. You will also be joining at an exciting time of product growth and expansion..\nYour Mission\nYou will play a crucial role in ensuring that new product launches are compliant with safeguarding regulations and controlled in a proportionate manner\nYou will be responsible for ensuring completeness of our policies and procedures and coordinate with individual controllers to obtain attestations of the controls operation and alignment to the controls framework\nYou will be responsible for coordinating and implementing a first line of defence assurance for APAC safeguarding controls\nYou will be responsible for maintaining the APAC safeguarding risk and controls matrix for the APAC entities\nYou will be the first point of escalation of discrepancies identified by the Reconciliations team for safeguarding reconciliations and provide SME advise on their resolution and treatment\nYou will be involved in the incidents management process and link incidents to control failures, which will enable senior management to see themes within the control environment\nYou will be responsible for MAS regulatory reporting and other safeguarding regulatory reporting preparation\nYou will be responsible for the annual safeguarding audit coordination\nYou will help document, challenge and build an end-to-end view of our internal control environment to illustrate key risks, controls and processes. You will be able to develop your technical skills and knowledge by being involved in several change management programmes relating to regulatory uplifts across different territories as well as related to implementing new products or features working with our engineering team to ensure these are safeguarding compliant.\nStepping stone - This role provides an excellent platform for someone looking to step into the safeguarding function of a fast-growing Fintech.\nDevelop an in-depth knowledge of Wise’s business - Get to know many teams across the business as you partner with them as part of day-to-day activities.\nQualifications\nA bit about you:\nTechnical knowledge - You have 5-8 years CASS (Client Assets Sourcebook) / Customer Moneys and Assets Protection (CMAP) framework experience in APAC (Singapore preferred) across investment business and payments. \nTheory - You have strong understanding of Payments Services Act (PSA) under MAS.\nPractice - You have sound writing skills and ability to convey regulation in a clear manner to fellow colleagues who are not SMEs and communicate key risks related to these regulations\nLove getting things done - You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and take responsibility to do whatever needs doing to solve problems.
