Their strategic approach to sourcing supports operational excellence and strengthens vendor relationships.\nKey Impact / Purpose\nSource and purchase materials to keep projects on schedule.\nMaintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality and reliability.\nOptimize inventory and purchasing processes for cost-effectiveness.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nSource and purchase materials for field foremen.\nReview, maintain, and issue purchase orders to preferred vendors.\nDevelop and maintain relationships with suppliers.\nMonitor and recommend appropriate inventory levels for materials and consumables.\nSchedule and expedite material deliveries as required.\nReview vendor invoices against orders to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.\nExecute material return procedures and secure credits from suppliers.\nMaintain organized purchase order records.\nMust-haves:\n3+ years of purchasing/procurement experience, ideally in construction or mechanical contracting.\nStrong relationship-building skills with suppliers and vendors.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).\nEffective communication and ability to manage multiple priorities.\nEligible for reliability security clearance.\nNice-to-haves:\nKnowledge of mechanical systems and construction industry experience.\nResourceful problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.\nThis is a new position and will be working out of a project site in Mississauga.
