This role provides hands-on experience in sample lifecycle management, laboratory automation, and digital systems within a regulated biotechnology environment. Based in Norwood, MA, this lab-based role supports clinical studies and long-term biospecimen management activities that advance Moderna’s mission.\nHere’s What You’ll Do\nSupport biospecimen receipt, documentation, storage, retrieval, and distribution in accordance with applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety requirements. \nUtilize LabVantage Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to support sample tracking, chain of custody, and lifecycle traceability. \nSupport automation and robotics workflows used for sample reformatting, storage, and retrieval. \nHandle biospecimens across required temperature conditions while following applicable SOPs, safety requirements, and chain-of-custody practices. \nSupport study close-out, sample reconciliation, and storage optimization activities that support long-term storage and operational efficiency. \nIdentify and escalate sample, labeling, inventory, or documentation discrepancies to Biobank team members. \nPrepare and deliver project updates or presentations to Biobank and cross-functional teams, as appropriate. \nHere’s What You’ll Need (Minimum Qualifications)\nCurrently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program in Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field. \nCoursework or laboratory experience in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, molecular biology, or a related discipline \nBasic laboratory skills such as pipetting and sample handling. \nHere’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)\nStrong attention to detail and ability to follow complex protocols. \nInterest in biobanking, clinical research, laboratory operations, or regulated laboratory environments. \nPrior exposure to laboratory equipment, automation, or digital sample-tracking systems is a plus. \nStrong organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting. \nA desire to make an impact as part of a company that is Bold, Relentless, Curious, and Collaborative. \nPay & Benefits\nAt Moderna, we believe that when you feel your best, you can do your best work.
