From checking an arrival time to tapping to board, passengers interact with Modeshift-powered systems throughout the journey.\n\nWe’re hiring a Product Manager to take ownership of complex product features, connect customer needs with technical solutions, and help shape how cities manage public transportation.\n\nWhat you’d work on\n\nYou’ll work on a connected platform bringing together software, hardware, payments, and real-time data. Your job is to understand what transit operators and passengers need, translate those needs into clear product decisions, and make sure we build solutions that work in the real world.\n\nWork directly with transit agencies and operators to understand their challenges, operational needs, and business priorities.\n\nTranslate customer requirements into clear product specifications, priorities, and measurable outcomes.\n\nPartner with designers and engineers to take features from discovery and definition through development and release.\n\nOwn product discovery, prioritization, and release readiness across your areas of responsibility.\n\nMake trade-offs between customer expectations, technical complexity, and long-term product value.\n\nWork closely with engineering, delivery, and customer support to ensure successful implementation and adoption.\n\nUse data, customer feedback, and product analytics to evaluate outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement.\n\nYou won’t just manage a backlog. You’ll be expected to understand the problems behind customer requests, challenge assumptions, and take responsibility for what we deliver.\n\nOur platform\n\nA cloud-based SaaS platform connecting passenger mobile applications, fare collection, payment processing, real-time vehicle tracking, and operational back-office systems.\n\nOur technology integrates with physical devices such as validators, driver consoles, vending machines, and onboard systems.\n\nYou’ll work closely with engineering teams building APIs, integrations, and data-driven products, so understanding how complex systems fit together matters.\n\nWhat we look for\n\n5+ years of experience in product management, technical program management, or ownership of complex software systems, preferably in B2B environments.\n\nStrong systems thinking and the ability to connect business needs, technical constraints, and user experience.\n\nSolid understanding of product discovery, prioritization, and SaaS product development.\n\nTechnical fluency with APIs, integrations, enterprise systems, and how software products are built.\n\nHands-on experience with SQL and BI, reporting, or analytics tools.\n\nGood understanding of UI/UX principles and experience collaborating with product designers.\n\nAbility to turn ambiguous problems into clear requirements and practical product decisions.\n\nStrong communication skills and confidence working with technical teams, business stakeholders, and customers.\n\nFluency in English.\n\nWe’re looking for someone who can understand a complex problem, make the right trade-offs, and take ownership of the outcome, not just coordinate tasks between teams.\n\nExperience with modern AI technologies, including LLMs and AI agents, is highly desirable.
