The role covers both Java backend and Angular frontend development, from understanding business requirements through to production releases.\nYou will work closely with business specialists and the institution’s development team in an international, English-speaking environment.\nThis is a full-time remote opportunity with a planned project duration of four years. Occasional travel to Luxembourg may be required, approximately five working days per year, with at least one week’s notice. \nRecruitment starts immediately. Please apply as soon as possible; the expected project start date is 1 December 2026.\nMust-have requirements\n\nAt least 7 years of hands-on professional Java development experience. Expert-level candidates should have at least 10 years of relevant experience.\nPractical experience with Spring and Spring Boot, including persistence using JPA and Hibernate.\nHands-on Angular development using TypeScript/JavaScript, including integration with backend APIs.\nExperience personally writing and maintaining automated unit and integration tests for Java applications, using frameworks such as JUnit or Cucumber.\nGit experience in a team environment, including branches, pull/merge requests and code reviews.\nExperience writing SQL queries for relational databases and using XML, YAML and JSON in application development or configuration.\nHands-on AI-agent-driven development experience with at least one of GitHub Copilot, Claude Code or Codex. This must include delegating application code implementation or modification to an agent, then reviewing and testing the resulting changes. Code completion alone is insufficient.\nExperience releasing Java applications into production.\nFluent English, C1/C2 level, both spoken and written.\nA degree in Information Technology or equivalent professional experience.
