If you're passionate about driving innovation and making a meaningful impact in healthcare, we'd love to connect with you.\nRole and Responsibilities\nComplete development of our next-generation iOS application, currently in the late stages of development, and take ownership of it through release and beyond.\nDesign and develop new features that expand what patients and caregivers can do with our insulin pump devices.\nMaintain and support our legacy iOS application as patients transition to the new app.\nContribute to shared core components that will also support a future Android application, with an emphasis on correctness, safety, and testability.\nCollaborate with engineers, managers, and UX/UI designers to create seamless and intuitive mobile applications.\nWrite clean, maintainable, and high-quality code with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and user experience.\nEnsure our iOS applications comply with medical device standards, regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO), and data security protocols.\nTroubleshoot, debug, and optimize the performance of applications running on various iOS devices.\nParticipate in the full software development lifecycle, from initial planning through release and ongoing maintenance.\nStay up to date with the latest iOS development trends, medical device regulations, and best practices in mobile health applications.\nCollaborate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to industry standards.\nDevelop features that enhance user experience, such as real-time data display, alerts, and intuitive user interfaces for diabetes management.\nQualifications\nProven experience as an iOS developer with at least 4 years of experience in building and shipping iOS applications, ideally in the healthcare or medical device sector.\nStrong proficiency in Swift, including familiarity with the current version of the language, and experience with common iOS frameworks (UIKit, CoreData, CoreBluetooth, etc.).\nExperience with Swift language patterns such as actors, async/await, closures, protocols, generics, strict concurrency, and other advanced language features to write clean and efficient code.\nSolid experience with SwiftUI for building modern, responsive user interfaces.\nExperience with common mobile application architecture patterns.\nKnowledge of Apple's design guidelines, human interface standards, and accessibility principles.\nStrong understanding of security practices related to mobile app development, preferably in the context of healthcare (e.g., HIPAA, data encryption).\nExperience working with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications with backend systems.\nFamiliarity with testing frameworks (XCTest, Swift Testing) and experience with unit and integration testing for mobile apps.\nAbility to collaborate effectively with a cross-functional team and communicate complex technical ideas clearly.\nComfortable working on both a modern codebase and an older one, and able to judge when to improve legacy code and when to leave it alone.\nPassion for healthcare technology and improving patient outcomes through innovation.\nPreferred\nExperience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) or wearable technology integration.\nInterest in working with the Swift SDK for Android.
