You’ll build and evolve application functionality, develop APIs and integrations, work with serverless AWS services, and contribute to frontend experiences using React or Angular when needed.\nYou’ll also work in an AI-assisted development environment, using modern coding tools to accelerate development, navigate existing codebases, improve testing, and deliver high-quality software more efficiently.\nThis role is ideal for a well-rounded software engineer who enjoys owning features across the stack but has particularly strong backend and cloud engineering fundamentals.\nThe opportunity is open to engineers located in the United States or LATAM.\nRequirements:\nStrong professional experience in full-stack software engineering, with a heavier emphasis on backend development.\nStrong proficiency with Python and TypeScript in production application environments.\nHands-on experience building and maintaining applications on AWS.\nStrong experience with AWS serverless architectures and services.\nExperience designing, building, and integrating backend services and APIs.\nStrong understanding of cloud-native application architecture, asynchronous processing, integrations, and distributed application patterns.\nExperience building production software using modern engineering practices, including automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD, and source control.\nExperience with React and/or Angular and the ability to contribute effectively to frontend application development when required.\nExperience working across existing codebases and independently understanding application architecture, dependencies, and business logic.\nHands-on experience using AI-assisted software development tools to support coding, debugging, testing, refactoring, or codebase exploration.\nStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to take ownership of application features from implementation through deployment.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills within distributed, cross-functional engineering teams.\nBonus points:\nDeep experience with AWS serverless technologies such as Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, Step Functions, or DynamoDB.\nExperience designing event-driven and asynchronous architectures on AWS.\nExperience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or similar tooling.\nExperience with containerized workloads using Docker and AWS services such as ECS or EKS.\nExperience implementing application monitoring, logging, and observability in AWS environments.\nExperience using Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar agentic/AI-assisted development tools as part of daily engineering workflows.\nExperience working across both new
