An Engineering Technical Lead at Modus typically reports to a Director, Engineering and above.\nResponsibilities\nTechnical Leadership, Direction & Mentorship\nLead the architecture, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of scalable digital products\nDrive technical direction, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business goals\nIntegrate large language models and retrieval augmented generation systems into functional applications.\nLead code reviews and uphold high standards for code quality, performance, and security\nMentor and support engineers through coaching, pairing, and constructive feedback\nHands-on Execution\nContribute hands-on to the codebase while guiding architectural decisions and best practices\nReview wireframes/design mockups and prototypes and ensure their feasibility\nCollaboration & Alignment\nCollaborate closely with Product and Design to deliver high-quality, user-centered experiences\nAttend and engage in daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings.\nCommunicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including project managers and clients, translating complex technical concepts into clear insights\nProvide regular updates on progress, risks, and technical decisions to stakeholders\nPromote a culture of continuous improvement through iteration, experimentation, and innovation\nOther duties related to the position that may arise from time to time and as may be assigned\nQualifications\n6-10+ years of experience in software design and development with a strong full-stack background\nProven experience in a technical leadership or senior engineering role\nStrong proficiency in modern frontend and backend technologies (e.g., React, Node.js, .NET, Java or similar)\nSolid understanding of system architecture, APIs, and scalable application design\nExperience with relational and/or NoSQL databases\nHands-on experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms\nStrong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and explain complex ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders\nExperience mentoring engineers and contributing to team growth\nExperience with AI and agentic systems and technology is a strong plus\nYou’re located in Buenos Aires and are willing to work from our office at least 2 times a month (hybrid
