The successful candidate will be a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual who is excited to showcase their analytical skills and business-minded background within the fast-paced world of third-party logistics and freight forwarding. The contributions from this internship will directly impact Mohawk’s ability to provide exceptional service to our clients and maintain our reputation as a leader in the industry.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nSupport branch operations with respect to imports, including opening shipment files and auditing documentation\nEfficiently match available freight loads with available carrier options\nTrack shipments, contact carriers, perform data entry and analysis to support decision making, filing, and other duties as instructed by Leadership team\nAssist with industry research using the internet\nParticipate in meetings to observe company process and enhance learning\nCommunicate regularly with carriers and agents to build long-term, trusted partnerships and sell Mohawk services\nNegotiate pricing and prepare quotes for clients\nCollaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals\nEducation and Experience:\nMatriculated rising undergraduate student majoring in business, logistics, supply chain management or related discipline\nExperience in negotiating with service providers and problem solving for mutual benefit (preferred)\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word and Outlook\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:\nMust possess polished, professional communication skills, both verbal and written\nMust possess a strong attention to accuracy and detail\nAbility to work both independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment and be receptive to professional feedback regarding developmental opportunities\nExcellent organizational and time management skills\nSelf-motivated\nAbility to effectively multitask\nFlexibility to adapt to changing priorities\nMohawk Global is an equal opportunity employer.
