This role involves analyzing financial information, reconciling accounts, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.\nWhat you’ll do:\nMaintains updated and accurate automated or manual filing and data systems that provides a quick reference database of records.\nFulfills reporting requirements for rebates and other ad hoc requests.\nAssists in preparation of the consolidation of inter-company transactions.\nProcesses Financial close which includes scheduling nightly automated close processes in JD Edwards and checking month-end reports.\nCollaborates with corporate accounting team with account reconciliations and recording of journal entries.\nCompiles, analyzes, calculates cost data, and maintains the standard cost for purchased product.\nRecords and reviews cost calculations with management, to ensure consistency with the selling price.\nReconciles and researches excessive variance issues and determining causes.\nMaintains and manages all components of cost sheets and specification sheets for all budget forecasts.\nEnters all necessary budget information onto Overhead sheets by department and prepare summary of budget by locations.\nVerifies that statistical and financial reports are accurate and in compliance.\nPerforms other duties as necessary.\nWhat you have:\nBachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field preferred.\n2-4 years of experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.\nCPA certification preferred.\nWhat you’re good at:\nKnowledge of operating and capital budgeting processes.\nKnowledge of GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles) and Sarbanes-Oxley.\nStrong math and analytical skills.\nDemonstrates strong knowledge of technical, process, and business principles as well as industry practices and standards.\nExcellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.\nAble to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.\nHigh level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.\nProficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.\nWhat else?\nWe’re located in a pretty great spot - check out this video to see what we mean\nMohawk Industries is a leading global flooring manufacturer that creates products to enhance residential and commercial spaces around the world.
