Whether you want to lead more, innovate more, learn more or create more, you can find your more with Mohawk.\nWhat we need:\nMohawk is looking for an Assistant Operator who will be responsible for the visual monitoring of the Energy Plant, Refining, and Press areas for unfamiliar noises, leaks, and possible equipment failures, as well as housekeeping duties. This operator will also be responsible for assisting the Press Operator in the operations of the air graders, forming station, and press line.\nWhat you’ll do:\nMonitors the continuous production of product through the air graders, forming line and press.\nMonitors raw board quality.\nCommunicates with operators to maintain stable and consistent production.\nMonitors furnace, thermal oil pumps, resin pumps and lines, steam generator and refiner by making periodic rounds.\nIdentifies process variation.\nAssists in executing plant shut downs. \nObtains resin samples from delivery trucks. \nPerforms basic maintenance related tasks.\nPerforms housekeeping activities.\nAssists maintenance personnel in performing technical work.\nPerforms other related duties as required.\nWhat you have:\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalency required.\nReads and writes in standard English and proficient in performing basic math calculations such as addition and subtraction.\nSuccessful completion of all required on the job training.\nSuccessful completion of all required health and environmental safety training.\nExperience in a manufacturing environment a plus.\nWhat you’re good at:\nMust be an effective team member.\nAbility to wear hearing protection, eye protection, and steel toe shoes.\nGood oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with others in the immediate work unit and in related supported areas.\nAbility to follow verbal and written instructions. \nExperience in a manufacturing environment a plus.\nMohawk Industries is a leading global flooring manufacturer that creates products to enhance residential and commercial spaces around the world.
