Whether you want to lead more, innovate more, learn more or create more, you can find your more with Mohawk.\nWhat We Need:\nProvide technical expertise in automation, controls, and electrical systems to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment and processes throughout the facility.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nTroubleshoot, install, repair, and replace programmable automation and control systems.\nTroubleshoot, install, configure, and replace variable frequency drives (VFDs) in standalone applications and integrated control systems.\nAnalyze and resolve process control issues, including control loops, PID tuning, and automation system performance.\nTroubleshoot industrial automation networks, including control system components, servers, and client networks.\nSupport manufacturing operations by providing technical expertise and troubleshooting assistance for automation and control systems.\nInstall, replace, calibrate, and maintain field instrumentation, including RTDs, thermocouples, flow meters, pressure transducers, standalone PID controllers, web-guiding systems, and thickness measurement devices.\nOrder replacement parts and components for repairs, upgrades, and system improvements, and monitor delivery schedules.\nManage small automation and control projects from conception through implementation, including parts procurement, installation, programming, testing, and documentation.\nAttend job-related training as required by management.\nFollow all established standard operating procedures (SOPs).\nPerform general housekeeping and workplace organization duties as required.\nPerform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.\nWhat You Have:\nAssociate degree in Electrical Technology or a related field from an accredited institution, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.\nDemonstrated proficiency in process control and industrial automation systems.\nMinimum of five years of recent experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial electrical and automation systems.\nAbility to read, interpret, and apply information from technical manuals, specifications, and engineering documentation.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, CAD software, PLC programming software, HMI development software, and related automation technologies.\nThorough knowledge of electrical systems, applicable electrical codes, and industry best practices.\nProficient in the use of electrical testing equipment, diagnostic tools, and related instrumentation.\nWhat You’re Good At:\nAbility to read, interpret, and understand technical documents, blueprints, electrical schematics, ladder logic programs, troubleshooting guides, and repair manuals.\nStrong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify root causes and resolve complex automation and control system issues.\nAbility to solve practical problems and make sound decisions in situations involving multiple variables and limited standardization.\nAbility to train and mentor team members through on-the-job training (OJT).\nProficiency in the use of electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools.\nProficiency in performing basic mathematical calculations, including fractions, decimals, and standard units of measurement.\nWillingness and ability to travel for training and professional development as required.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to build effective working relationships with employees, vendors, and customers across multiple departments and levels of the organization.\nAbility to work effectively in cross-functional teams within a manufacturing environment.\nDemonstrate professionalism, quality workmanship, and attention to cleanliness and organization in the workplace.\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects effectively.\nWhat Else?\nThis position requires the team member to work with machinery in an environment where there may be regular exposure to chemicals, noise from machinery, dust, fumes, and variable temperatures.\nMust be able to climb and work up to 100 feet.\nMust be able to lift up to 50lbs.; bending, squatting, climbing ladders and stairs are required.\nOther working conditions may include working long hours and flexible shifts, including holidays.\nDisclaimer: The information on this description was prepared by Compensation and department management and is designed to indicate the general nature and level of the work performed by employees within this classification.
