Whether you want to lead more, innovate more, learn more or create more, you can find your more with Mohawk.\nPrimary Objective:\nOperates equipment to cut, measure and / or wrap rolls of broadloom carpet or vinyl.\nMajor Function and Scope:\nPrepare rolls for processing (cut tape, load core, pull ticket)\nProcess roll into AS400/Alcon system by using hand-held scan gun\nOperate cut table controls to start roll up process\nInspect product for defects, damage, correct width, and color/style\nUtilize wrap station equipment to ensure protection of the product\nPrint ticket and label role for identification purposes\nObserve operation of the equipment to detect malfunctions\nReplace worn blades and tape rolls as well as restock cores\nMay be required to operate powered industrial trucks/equipment such as lift trucks, etc.\nAttend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision\nFollow all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies\nPerform general housekeeping duties as necessary\nPerform other tasks assigned by management\nType of Experience and Knowledge:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferred\nLift Truck Certification preferred\nSuccessful completion of all required on the job training\nSuccessful completion of all required health and environmental safety training\nMay be required to use department specific database systems such as: AS400\nNo prior experience required\nExperience as a cut table operator preferred\nMust pass a color vision test\nCompetencies:\nOperate in a team-based environment\nBasic math skills\nRead tape measure\nPhysical Requirements / Other Pertinent Job Information:\nDisclaimer: The information on this description was prepared by Compensation and department management and is designed to indicate the general nature and level of the work performed by employees within this classification.
