Whether you want to lead more, innovate more, learn more or create more, you can find your more with Mohawk.\nWhat we need:\nThe machine operator II is responsible for material movement and machinery operations needed to safely produce quality products.\nWhat you’ll do:\nResponsible for quality inspections and testing throughout shift, with attention to identifying quality and manufacturing defects. \nGains understanding of correct parameters specific to Department processes to minimize defect opportunities and increase production output. \nTrains to perform necessary adjustments to production line, via feedback from automated systems monitoring, manual testing, and product specifications. \nAdheres to Company and Department standards regarding documentation, set up procedures, production procedures, and quality guidelines. \nAbides by documentation standards and catalogues adherence to production procedures, including shift reports and varying checklists. \nUnderstands and follows all Company and Department safety policies, including personal protective equipment and alternate work procedures. \nResponsible for material flow of raw and finished goods as needed, including operation of pallet jacks, forklifts, and other tools as needed. \nAttend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision. \nFollow all established standard operating procedures. \nPerform general housekeeping duties as necessary. \nPerform other tasks assigned by management. \nWhat you have:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required. \nPrior experience in a manufacturing environment required. \nPrior forklift experience required, 1+ year experience preferred. \nExperience in production processes involving paper or chemical handling preferred. \nComputer literacy, including Excel skills, required. \nGood oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with all employees within the immediate unit and in related support roles. \nAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating or maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. \nAbility to work independently. \nWhat else?\nThis position requires the team member to work with machinery in an environment where there may be fluctuating temperatures, and additional department-specific variables. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required, and may include hearing protection, safety shoes, high-visibility clothing, and eye protection. \nOther working conditions may include working 12 hour shifts and a fixed shift rotation, including holidays. \nMust be able to lift up to 50lbs.; walking, bending, squatting, climbing ladders and stairs are required. \nMohawk Industries is a leading global flooring manufacturer that creates products to enhance residential and commercial spaces around the world.
