This role will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the procurement process to ensure the timely acquisition of goods and services at the best possible value. \nWhat You’ll Do:\nDevelop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to optimize supplier selection, negotiation, and contracting processes. \nIdentify and qualify new suppliers, conducting supplier evaluations and performance reviews to ensure alignment with company standards and objectives. \nNegotiate and manage supplier contracts and agreements, ensuring favorable terms, pricing, and conditions that support the company's goals and objectives. \nMonitor contract compliance and performance, resolving issues and discrepancies as needed to maintain positive supplier relationships. \nCollaborate with inventory management teams to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts, excess inventory, and carrying costs. \nForecast demand and work closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and goods to support production schedules and customer demands. \nImplement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements to drive efficiency and reduce procurement costs while maintaining quality and service levels. \nAnalyze purchasing data and market trends to identify opportunities for cost reduction, value enhancement, and risk mitigation. \nCultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering open communication, collaboration, and mutual trust. \nAddress supplier performance issues promptly, working with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and implementing corrective actions as needed. \nPerform other duties as needed. \nWhat You Have:\nBachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience. \n6-8 years’ relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience. \n1-3 years of management experience. \nWhat You’re Good At:\nRequires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline or field. \nFocused on and responsible for their team's productivity and collective impact. \nExcellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills. \nAble to multitask, prioritize, delegate, and manage time effectively. \nHigh level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data. \nProficient using Microsoft Suite of products. \nFlexible attitude, adaptable to change, team player and able to handle multiple projects at once. \nHigh degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures. \nWhat Else?\nThis employee will be responsible for direct reports. \nThis position may require some travel. \nDisclaimer: The information on this description was prepared by Compensation and department management and is designed to indicate the general nature and level of the work performed by employees within this classification.
