As the Production Trainer, we are seeking someone who is ready to provide a variety of support such as creating training materials, coaching, and training new hires and tenured employees on general processes, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and new products.\nPrimary Objective\nThe Production Trainer is primarily responsible for providing on job training (OJT) to new hires and tenured team members. Must be committed to learning and becoming a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all operational and procedures within the organization. The trainer will dedicate a significant portion of their time to the production floor, where they will observe, coach, and evaluate team members. Additionally, the trainer will assess team members on established processes and procedures to ensure proficiency. This position primarily works 1st shift, but requires flexibility to work 2nd shift as needed.\nMajor Function and Scope\nTailors training materials and provides direction to trainees.\nAssess, coaches, and trains on various operational and procedural material. \nWorks closely with Team Leads, Supervisors, Management, and HR to understand the individual training needs of each team member.\nImplements and develops teaching aids based on the needs of the workforce.\nOversees and facilitates testing and evaluation procedures to be used for completion of training.\nConducts training sessions covering specified areas such as new hire orientation, OJT training, refresher training, and retraining team members as needed.\nReports on progress and training effectiveness of team members under their direction during training periods.\nAssists leadership with implementing and monitoring various continuous improvement programs, including gathering feedback from trainees and operators to identify training gaps and process inefficiencies.\nProvide and respond with clear communication to management team (e-mail, verbal, etc.).\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nExperience and Knowledge Required\nHigh school diploma or equivalent experience.\n3+ years’ previous experience as a trainer, training facilitator or other relevant position, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. \nCompetencies\nApplies conceptual knowledge of the theories, practices, and procedures within a discipline. Excellent oral and written communication, problem solving and organizational skills. Demonstrates good active listening skills. Prioritizes and adapts to changing priorities, handles multiple tasks simultaneously, and manages time effectively. High level of integrity and discretion required in handling sensitive and confidential data. Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite products.
