As the Production Trainer, we need someone who is ready to provide a variety of support such as creating training materials, coaching, and training new hires and tenured employees on general processes, SOP Procedures, and new products.\nPrimary Objective\nPrimarily responsible for providing on job training (OJT) to new hires and tenured employees. Must be committed to learning and becoming a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all operational and procedures within the organization. The trainer will dedicate a significant portion of their time to the production floor, where they will observe, coach, and evaluate employees. Additionally, the trainer will conduct new hire training and assess candidates on equipment to ensure proficiency. Responsibilities also include maintaining and updating the SOP binder for the entire operation, as well as creating and documenting new SOP’s as necessary.\nMajor Function and Scope\nTailors training materials and provides direction to trainees.\nAbility to assess, coach, trainon various operational and procedural material. \nWorks closely with Team Leads, Supervisors, Management, and HR to understand the individual training needs of each employee.\nImplements and develops teaching aids based on the needs of the workforce.\nOversees and facilitates testing and evaluation procedures to be used for completion of training.\nConducts training sessions covering specified areas such as new employee orientation. Will provide OJT training, refresher training,and retraining team members as needed.\nReports on progress of employees under their direction during training periods.\nProvide and respond with clear communication to management team (e-mail, verbal, etc.).\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nExperience and Knowledge Required\nHigh school diploma or equivalent experience.\n3+ years’ previous experience as a trainer, training facilitator or other relevant position, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.\nCompetencies\nGood oral and written communications skills. Good record keeping skills. Good listening skills. Accurate measurement capability. Ability to understand and speak basic English.Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
