This role involves analyzing complex financial information, reconciling accounts, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.\nWhat you'll do:\nPrepare journal entries and general ledger account reconciliation for accounts with greater complexity that are managed by the department.\n\nCreate and analyze accounting reports for distribution and reporting and prepare spreadsheets used for analytical information.\n\nEstablish and maintain account information systems that provide a quick reference database of records, department transactions, releases information, etc., according to company policies and procedures.\n\nProvide guidance to less experienced team members with more complex transactions and reconciliation issues.\n\nPrepare monthly financial statements, supporting schedules, balance sheets, general ledgers, and other financial records involving cash, plant payroll, accounts receivables, accounts payables, and inventories.\n\nFacilitates Accounting and Finance goals and objectives by assisting with the development of forecasted high risk areas such as bad debt reserve and revenue recognition.\n\nIdentify critical factors affecting profitability as they relate to significant reserves and ensuring appropriate communication takes place at leadership level when any changes in methodology are recommended.\n\nLiaise with internal and external auditors on audit matters related to revenue recognition and collection of significant reserve accounts.\n\nOversee quality assurance of analytical work performed within the business units ensuring accuracy, consistency of methodologies, and documentation of procedures in accordance with corporate internal control, GAAP, and other regulatory guidelines and agencies.\n\nFollow industry and economic change and trends and determine potential impact on the business revenue and sales potential, as well as customer requirements.\n\nPerform other duties as necessary.\n\nWhat you have:\nBachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.\n\n4-6 years of job-related experience or equivalent education and/or experience.\n\nCPA certification preferred.\n\nWhat you're good at:\nKnowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) required and Sarbanes-Oxley.\n\nRequires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline.\n\nExcellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.\n\nAble to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.\n\nHigh level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.\n\nProficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.\n\nFlexible attitude, adaptable to change, team player, and able to handle multiple projects at once.\n\nHigh degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedure.\n\nProficient in SAP systems.\n\n#LI-CR1\nMohawk Industries is a leading global flooring manufacturer that creates products to enhance residential and commercial spaces around the world.
