Whether you want to lead more, innovate more, learn more or create more, you can find your more with Mohawk.\nWhat we need:\nThe Sr Industrial Engineer is a high-performing contributor that serves as a subject matter expert to facilitate and support capital improvement and maintenance projects within the Engineering function by utilizing strong knowledge of industry practices and standards. This role participates in cross-functional project teams to meet business challenges in the areas of operating budgets, project measurements and control for capability, efficiency, quality, timelines, and safety.\nWhat you’ll do:\nDevelop, assess, and implement techniques and equipment of simple to moderate complexity used in the production process to maximize operational efficiency.\nPlan and design assigned systems that increase productivity by improving the integration of people, materials, systems, equipment, and finance.\nRecommend more efficient and safer manufacturing processes using new, existing, or modified machinery, equipment, or systems under the guidance of a more senior engineering staff member.\nImplement changes to work methods, materials, machinery, manpower allocation, and safety measures for projects of simple to moderate complexity.\nOversee work standards, schedules, procedures, and performance standards for work applications to improve efficiency and reduce costs using approved company standards. Review standards with a more senior engineering staff member before implementation.\nAnalyze and recommend changes to work operations to reduce noise, pollution, toxic chemicals, and similar hazards under the direction of a more senior engineering staff member.\nOversee assigned daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance and other reporting system outputs.\nParticipate in cross-functional projects or meetings as required under the direction of a more senior engineering staff member.\nConsistently perform high-quality analysis.\nIdentify ways to assess and apply innovative ideas that enhance business results.\nLead after-action reviews to identify, document, and share lessons learned.\nCollaborate cross-functionally to evaluate technical, system, and process improvements.\nPerform other duties as needed.\nWhat you have:\nBachelor's degree in a related field.\nFour to six years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.\nProficiency in AutoCAD preferred.\nSix Sigma and/or Lean certifications are desirable.\nWhat you’re good at:\nIn-depth conceptual and practical knowledge of the position's discipline.\nExcellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.\nAbility to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.\nHigh level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential data.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products.\nFlexible attitude; adaptable to change, collaborative, and able to handle multiple projects at once.\nWhat else?\nOccasional exposure to hazardous conditions caused by noise, moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and other conditions associated with a high-traffic production floor.\nAbility to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time.\nBending, crouching, and stooping may be required.\nAbility to work in non-climate-controlled facilities.\nThe work environment may include a noisy, high-traffic manufacturing production floor.\nMay be required to work a flexible schedule, including evening and night shifts, weekends, and holidays.\nAbility to wear required personal protective equipment correctly for most of the workday.\nAbility to lift 50 pounds regularly.\nMohawk Industries is a leading global flooring manufacturer that creates products to enhance residential and commercial spaces around the world.
