This role involves a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and project management capabilities to improve production methods, reduce costs, and enhance overall operational performance within a manufacturing environment.\nWhat you’ll do:\nImplement techniques and equipment of simple to moderate complexity used in production process to maximize the efficiency of the operations.\nDesign systems as assigned that increase productivity by improving the integration of people, materials, systems, equipment, and finance.\nRecommend or may implement changes to work methods, materials, machinery, manpower allocation, and safety measures for project of simple to moderate complexity.\nOversee the development of work standards, schedules, procedures, and performance standards for work applications to improve efficiency and cost reductions using standard company approved standards. Review standards with more senior engineering staff member before implementation.\nParticipate in cross-functional teams to execute projects related to process improvements, equipment upgrades, and new product launches.\nDesign, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes and workflows to improve efficiency and productivity.\nIdentify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce waste, and enhance quality.\nPerform high quality analysis consistently.\nFind ways to assess and apply innovative ideas to enhance business results.\nSuccessfully lead after-action reviews to identify, document, and share lessons learned.\nCollaborate cross-functionally to evaluate technical, system, and process improvements.\nPerform other duties as needed.\nWhat you have:\nBachelor’s degree in a related field.\n4-6 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.\nSix-Sigma and/or Lean certifications are desirable.\nWhat you’re good at:\nRequires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline.\nExcellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.\nAble to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.\nHigh level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.\nProficient using Microsoft Office Suite products.\nFlexible attitude, adaptable to change, team player, and able to handle multiple projects at once.\nWhat else?\nOccasional exposure to hazardous conditions caused by noise, moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and other conditions associated with a high-traffic production floor.\nMust be able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time.\nBending, crouching, and stooping may be required.\nMust be able to work in non-climate-controlled facilities.\nThe work environment may be a noisy, high traffic manufacturing production floor.\nMay be required to work a flexible schedule to include evening and night shifts, weekends, and holidays.\nThe ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day.\nThe ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.\nMohawk Industries is a leading global flooring manufacturer that creates products to enhance residential and commercial spaces around the world.
