Whether you want to lead more, innovate more, learn more or create more, you can find your more with Mohawk.\nWhat we need:\nMohawk is looking for a Distribution Supervisor over our Thomasville,NC facility who has ownership over his/her team of 30+ associates, who can direct safety initiatives on their team and who meet productivity requirements.\nWhat you’ll do:\nProvide the proper equipment, training & oversight to ensure the safety of all personnel. Promote SAFETY initiatives using corporate direction and the assistance of the EHS Team to develop a SAFETY conscious culture.\nPlan and schedule the efficient use of associates and equipment to accomplish objectives.\nCoordinate directly with Production Manager at production facility to ensure production and distribution continuously works as a team to achieve objectives.\nContinuously measure/monitor performance according to established standards. This includes completing performance evaluations and perform continuous performance feedback.\nAnalyze productivity rates and make recommendations for process/procedure changes to achieve optimum productivity.\nSelect, hire, train and appraise Distribution Team Members to attain the highest quality standards of service and achieve optimal productivity levels.\nSupport development of Distribution Team Members through various training initiatives and cross train associates to achieve a flexible workforce.\nMaintain a highly motivated workforce by providing timely communications, displaying an attitude of consistency and fairness, and providing recognition for good work or ideas.\nWhat you have:\nAssociate or bachelor’s degree preferred\nExperience with a Warehouse Management System, SAP or AS400 preferred.\nAbility to use personal computer utilizing software such as MSOffice Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)\nBroad knowledge of and experience with industrial warehousing and product distribution functions such as shipping, receiving, inventory control, work scheduling and customer service.\nProven track record of success in leading and motivating a team in a warehouse environment.\nDemonstrated knowledge and successful application of sound employee relations practices including coaching and corrective action.\nWhat you’re good at:\nWorking collaboratively as part of a fast-paced team\nCommunicating effectively with a wide range of individuals\nDriving optimization and results\nMohawk Industries is a leading global flooring manufacturer that creates products to enhance residential and commercial spaces around the world.
