The WBLP with Mohawk is designed to allow students the ability to learn, develop and build onto their industry related skills within Yarn department, while completing a High School curriculum.\nYour Role:\nSet up, operate and tend a large number of machines organized into a frame that twist yarn together.\nPerforms any combination or all of the following duties:\nStays informed of applicable OSHA and company guidelines and operating procedures, and proactively identifies unsafe working, building, and other environmental conditions to management and/or appropriate department for resolution.\nPerforms other duties as required.\nCreel single or double ply yarn packages.\nQualifications:\nCurrent High School Junior or Senior, at least 17 years old\nAbility to read and write in Standard English \nAbility to perform basic math calculations such as addition and subtraction.\nAbility to communicate in standard English to understand and follow verbal or written instructions and to keep simple records and make reports.\nAbility to maintain an acceptable level of attendance in accordance with company and department guidelines.\nAbility to Multi-task.\nAbility to lift to 20 pounds.\nAbility to constantly bend, crouch, and stoop throughout the shift.\nMust also be able to work in non-climate-controlled facilities.\nAbility to work in an environment that is noisy, high traffic production floor.\nBenefits:\nProvided a 2-week training period (paid)\nFlexible scheduling around school schedule \nOpportunities for advancement and Apprenticeship pathways upon completing High School \nWorking within a leading global manufacturer with hands-on training and mentoring\nMohawk Industries is a leading global flooring manufacturer that creates products to enhance residential and commercial spaces around the world.
