Learn more: www.mohawkmedbuy.ca.\n\nWe are currently recruiting for a Permanent Part-time Purchasing Specialist to support our Purchasing Services team.This position would require the individual to work a minimum of 4 days per week, be based at the Chatham office and able to travel onsite to hospitals within the Erie St. Clair region.\n\nPosition Overview\n\nThe Purchasing Specialist is responsible for executing Mohawk Medbuy Corporation’s purchasing process to help with any issues related to supply ordering. \n\nKey Responsibilities\nPlaces orders required utilizing computerized software for the daily operation of all departments including performing duties such as receiving stock requisitions, sourcing suppliers, negotiating price, following up on back-ordered products and co-coordinating delivery.\nActs as a resource to provide information to a variety of internal and external clients on material resources procedures and collaborates with clients on problems with materials and/or services\nLiaises with customers to clearly understand their purchasing and supply requirements and works with the Customer Service Specialist to coordinate and prioritize the processing of customer requisitions.\nResponds to the changing requirements of customers and follows up with customer issues. \nEvaluates Mohawk Medbuy Corporation’s service performance\nPerform all supply chain functions in compliance with BPS Directives \nPerform all job functions within the guidelines of Mohawk Medbuy Corporation’s policies and procedures\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications and Skills\n\nEducation, Training, and Experience\nComputer – Proficient in Microsoft products\nCustomer focused – Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with hospital staff, residents, customers, employees, contractors. Effective communicator both by phone and email.\nEffective communicator with all stakeholders, ability to proactively inform customers with product updates, clearly summarize and lay out current state and next steps\nCritical thinking and problem solving under pressure and tight deadlines\nAbility to gather information from various parties (vendors, clinical teams, MMC) and use it efficiently to prioritize tasks\n\nMandatory\nPost secondary degree or diploma supplemented by PMAC Level II designation.
