The role supports Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud, and other approved enterprise cloud technologies while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, compliance, resiliency, and business objectives.\nThis position partners with infrastructure, security, application development, and business teams to deliver secure, scalable, highly available cloud services. Cloud Engineer serves as a senior technical contributor in cloud architecture, infrastructure automation, platform engineering, disaster recovery, observability, and cloud financial management.\nPrimary Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:\nCloud Architecture and Engineering\nDesign, implement, and support enterprise cloud infrastructure across Azure, Microsoft 365, AWS, Google and hybrid environments.\nDevelop cloud reference architectures, reusable patterns, standards, and guardrails aligned with enterprise architecture principles.\nDesign solutions that meet requirements for scalability, availability, performance, security, compliance, and resiliency.\nEvaluate and recommend cloud-native technologies and services that support business and technology objectives.\nCloud Automation and Platform Engineering\nAutomate provisioning, configuration, patching, monitoring, compliance validation, and operational workflows.\nSupport platform engineering and self-service capabilities through standardized, secure deployment patterns.\nDevelop automation using PowerShell, Python, Bash, Azure Automation, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or equivalent tools.\nDevSecOps and Continuous Delivery\nSupport CI/CD pipeline design, implementation, governance, and optimization.\nIntegrate security controls, automated testing, policy-as-code, and infrastructure validation into delivery pipelines.\nPartner with development teams to enable secure cloud-native deployment and operational practices.\nSecurity, Governance, and Compliance\nImplement cloud security controls using Zero Trust, least privilege, defense-in-depth, and secure-by-design principles.\nCollaborate with Information Security to improve cloud security posture and remediate vulnerabilities and misconfigurations.\nSupport identity governance, privileged access management, secrets management, encryption, data protection, and regulatory compliance.\nAssist with audits and control activities, including SOX, gaming regulatory, privacy, and internal security requirements.\nCloud Operations and Reliability\nMonitor cloud services to ensure availability, performance, capacity, service-level objectives, and reliability.\nDevelop dashboards, telemetry, logging, tracing, proactive alerting, and automated remediation capabilities.\nPerform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for recurring incidents.\nParticipate in incident response, major incident management, and an on-call rotation for supported services.\nBusiness Continuity and Disaster Recovery\nDesign, maintain, and test cloud backup, high-availability, cyber-recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.\nValidate that critical services meet approved recovery time and recovery point objectives.\nMaintain recovery runbooks and participate in scheduled recovery exercises and after-action reviews.\nFinOps and Cost Optimization\nMonitor and optimize cloud usage, commitments, licensing, storage, compute, and data transfer costs.\nImplement tagging, budgeting, forecasting, showback or chargeback, and cost-allocation standards.\nPartner with technology and business leaders to align cloud consumption with organizational priorities.\nDocumentation and Knowledge Sharing\nMaintain architecture diagrams, technical standards, configuration documentation, operational runbooks, and knowledge articles.\nProvide technical guidance, mentoring, and cross-training to reduce key-person dependencies and improve team resiliency.\nPresent technical recommendations, risks, roadmaps, and investment requirements to management and governance forums.\nAI-Enabled Operations and Innovation\nEvaluate and responsibly use AI-assisted tools to improve engineering productivity, observability, incident response, and service delivery.\nEnsure AI-enabled solutions comply with enterprise security, privacy, data governance, and responsible AI requirements.\nSecondary Duties and Responsibilities:\nMaintain confidentiality and privacy in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, contractual requirements, and company policies.\nParticipate in and comply with Change, Incident, Problem, Configuration, Release, and Asset Management processes.\nPromote superior customer service and effective collaboration with internal teams, properties, vendors, and business partners.\nActively pursue opportunities to improve knowledge, tools, standards, automation, and operational processes.\nPerform other related duties as assigned.\nMinimum Education and Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field and at least five years of progressively responsible experience supporting enterprise cloud or hybrid infrastructure; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.\nExperience designing, implementing, and supporting Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 enterprise environments.\nExperience with AWS, additional public cloud platforms, or complex hybrid-cloud architectures is preferred.\nHands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation, scripting, source control, and CI/CD practices.\nExperience with cloud monitoring, observability, backup, disaster recovery, high availability, and incident response.\nStrong understanding of identity, security, networking, and internet protocols, including Entra ID, DNS, TCP/IP, routing, VPN, firewalls, load balancing, HTTP/S, and Zero Trust concepts.\nAbility to analyze complex technical information, troubleshoot multifaceted issues, communicate recommendations clearly, and work effectively across technical and business teams.\nIntermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite products and applications\nAbility to obtain and maintain gaming licensure in one or more jurisdictions, as required.\nAbility to participate in an on-call rotation and perform occasional off-hours work for changes, maintenance, incidents, and recovery testing.\nPreferred Certifications:\nMicrosoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Administrator Associate.\nAWS Certified Solutions Architect, HashiCorp Terraform Associate, or equivalent cloud and automation certification.\nITIL Foundation, CCSP, CISSP, or equivalent cloud governance, service management, or security certification.\nCompetencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:\nCloud architecture and engineering;
