Sometimes assumes a leadership role in the absence of the Chef in charge.\nPrimary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:\nPrepares food for service, sets up the cooking line and fills customer orders\nFollows all written and established recipes and prepares food according to established standards\nMaintains a clean and sanitary work area\nSecondary Duties and Responsibilities:\nCleans food prep area after meal period\nMinimum Education and Qualifications:\nFour years of culinary experience in a high volume, food and beverage operation or two years of culinary training plus two years of experience may be considered\nMust be able to effectively communicate with guests and co-workers in English\n\nCompetencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:\nGood verbal communication skills\nAble to read recipes and follow written directions\nAdvanced knife skills\nAbility to produce quality work on all stations in the kitchen\nKnowledge of safe and efficient operation of kitchen equipment\nTraining Requirements:\nUnderstanding of health and sanitation guidelines\nPhysical Demands and Work Environment:\nFast paced kitchen environment\nMust be able to stand for long periods of time with frequent lifting and bending\nMust be able to lift up to 40 lbs.\nMust be able to work various shifts and flexible hours\nThis is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, requirements or working conditions associated with the job.
