This position helps with ordering, inventory control and submission of reports.\nPrimary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:\nResponsible for planning, up-selling and detailing of events from pre- to post-event as well as coordinating guest expectations with food and beverage departments\nManages space requirements, scheduling, ordering of equipment and billing instructions\nBuilds effective relationships with internal and external groups to achieve revenue and operational goals\nProvides guests with creative suggestions for innovative room sets and menus\nInitiates and follows up on assigned leads\nHolds service team accountable to the service and cultural expectations of the company\nMaintains and participates in an active sales solicitation program\nAssists with training of the event staff\nSurpasses assigned revenue goals\nSlices product and prepares recipe according to Jersey Mike’s standards\nOperates all equipment necessary to perform the job\nCleans and maintains kitchen appliances and utensils \nSecondary Duties and Responsibilities:\nAssists management team in the coaching of team members\nAdditional duties as assigned\nMinimum Education and Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nOne (1) year of high-volume restaurant supervisory experience, including some experience in a quick service or fast casual dining environment\nCompetencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:\nExcellent communication and organizational skills\nExcellent presentation and interpersonal skills\nProficient in Word and Excel\nBasic understanding of Mohegan Sun budget process\nPossesses sound business judgment, a high degree of personal motivation and a very strong work ethic\nAbility to effectively and strategically manage business segments of responsibility to protect primary revenue stream that comes from gaming\nOverall understanding of revenue management and its utilization to drive bottom line profit\nAbility to handle problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving them\nThorough understanding of the Mohegan Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO) as it relates to employment\nTraining Requirements:\nKnowledge of Mohegan Sun corporate and department policies and procedures\nMust complete the Core Manager Training course\nSuccessful completion of Jersey Mike’s portal training\nPursuit of learning and self-development opportunities to enhance personal and professional growth\nSafety and Fire Training\nSMART alcohol awareness\nPhysical Demands and Work Environment:\nMust be able to work in a casino environment with possible exposure to secondhand smoke\nMust be able to stand for extended periods of time\nMust be able to lift up to 30 lbs.\nMust be able to work various shifts and flexible hours\nThis is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, requirements or working conditions associated with the job.
