You will work directly with client stakeholders to shape solutions, guide teams through execution, and help grow accounts through trusted relationships and strong outcomes.\nSuccess in this role requires strong technical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to collaborate effectively with distributed teams and U.S.-based clients. You should be comfortable participating in technical discussions, contributing ideas, leading teams, and helping clients make informed technology decisions as well as executing on technical requirements.\nKey Responsibilities\nTechnology & Architecture Leadership\nDesign and deliver scalable, maintainable systems across application, data, and AI layers\nLead development of distributed, cloud-native applications integrating APIs, data platforms, and AI or ML components\nDesign systems that incorporate real-time data, event-driven patterns, and intelligent services\nImplement LLM integrations, RAG patterns, and AI-enabled features in production systems\nEnsure systems meet expectations for performance, reliability, and security\nGuide teams toward practical use of modern patterns, including microservices, CI/CD, and DevOps\nMake clear, pragmatic decisions on architecture and trade-offs\nExpertise delivering solutions with Python and TypeScript. Familiarity with other stacks is a bonus.\nClient Engagement\nWork directly with client stakeholders to understand problems, define solutions, and align on outcomes\nLead discovery efforts, technical assessments, and early-stage solution design\nFacilitate working sessions and architecture discussions with both technical and business audiences\nTranslate business needs into clear, executable technical approaches\nBuild strong relationships that position MojoTech as a trusted partner\nSales & Growth\nPartner with account and sales leads to shape and win new work\nContribute to proposals, estimates, and solution approaches\nHelp identify follow-on opportunities within existing engagements\nClearly articulate the value of proposed solutions to client stakeholders\nContribute to reusable approaches and offerings that improve how we sell and deliver\nProgram & Delivery Leadership\nLead delivery across one or more engagements, ensuring work stays aligned to goals, timelines, and budget\nSet up lightweight governance, planning, and communication structures that keep teams moving\nCoordinate across engineering, design, product, and data disciplines\nIdentify risks early and work with teams to address them\nMaintain a strong focus on delivering working software and measurable outcomes\nTeam & Practice Leadership\nMentor engineers and help grow technical leadership across teams\nSet a high standard for code quality, system design, and engineering practices\nContribute to hiring and building a strong, senior team\nHelp evolve internal practices, especially around AI-enabled systems and modern architectures\nStay hands-on enough to maintain credibility and support the team when needed\n Qualifications\nYou should check many of these boxes:\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills\nDeep architectural experience\nProduct focused engineering experience\nAbility to work effectively in a remote, distributed environment\nStrength in Python, Typescript and adjacent technologies for building AI/ML applications.\n10+ years of experience leading and delivering software solutions.\nTrack record of client/stakeholder satisfaction.\nExperience integrating data platforms, machine learning, or AI capabilities into applications\nFamiliarity with data pipelines, streaming, and data modeling\nExperience working in consulting, agency, or client-service environments\nExposure to mentoring junior engineers or technical leadership responsibilities\nContributions to open-source projects, technical blogs, or conference presentations are a plus.\nWhat Success Looks Like\nWithin your first year, you will:\nBuild strong relationships with clients and teammates\nDeliver high-quality, maintainable software solutions\nDemonstrate technical ownership and accountability\nContribute to MojoTech's culture of engineering excellence\nContinue expanding your technical and consulting capabilities\nFlexible Working Environment:\nWe offer a flexible working model, allowing employees to choose between remote work, on-site work in our offices located in Boulder, CO, and Providence, RI, or a hybrid of both.
