The new team member will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing data strategies to meet the data science needs of various initiatives. These include projectswithin Consumer Services, in other businesses of MOL Group, and external partners and clients.\nThis role will support activities to implement robust, scalable and futureproof data analytics solutions aligned with partner strategies. The role drives the design, end-to-end implementation and lifecycle management of Machine Learning and Advanced Analytics solutions. Delivers business growth by influencing key business decisions and driving untapped sales growth and business optimization opportunities.\nMain responsibilities\nLead identification of high-impact use cases for ML/AI/GenAI, prioritizing those that drive business performance, uncover optimization opportunities, and fuel revenue and margin growth.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into high-impact analytical solutions.\n\nDevelop data science solutions with minimal supervision by preparing and implementing data science algorithms and solutions that meet business needs and requirements.\n\nOversee data transformation, feature selection, and data cleansing efforts to ensure datasets are ready for high-quality modeling.\n\nLead the selection of suitable modelling approaches and advanced analytics techniques, training and testing of algorithms, and evaluating their performance to deliver robust and efficient solutions.\n\nTranslate complex business problems into scalable, efficient data-driven solutions aligned with organizational goals.\n\nEnsure smooth integration and deployment of data science solutions by overseeing their handover to Data Engineers, Data Analysts, business stakeholders, and IT Operations teams.\n\nActively contribute to shaping and refining the ML/AI strategy and roadmap, influencing the organization’s future data initiatives.\n\nMentor and guide junior colleagues while driving knowledge-sharing efforts within the data science team and broader analytics community.\n\nPromote AI Literacy across the organization, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making and increasing AI capabilities across teams.\n\nTake ownership of quality assurance processes, ensure thorough and up-to-date documentation, prepare and execute change requests, and provide third-level support to ensure lifecycle management of data science solutions.\n\nSupport execution of strategic data initiatives and MOL Group's business, functional, and data strategies within Consumer Services, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.\n\nAbout your experience and skills\nEducation\nUniversity or college degree, or equivalent work experience.\n\nExperience\n3-5 years of hands-on data science experience (depends on relevancy)\n\nFamiliarity with agile, Scrum, or other rapid application development methods.\n\nProfessional Competencies\nStrong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze significant amounts of data with attention to detail and accuracy.\n\nExcellent quantitative, analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong business acumen.\n\nAbility to communicate data insights effectively through data visualization techniques.\n\nCapable of expressing technical and business concepts, ideas, and conclusions in both oral and written formats.\n\nWillingness to explore data and systems that have not been analyzed before.\n\nFamiliarity with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence) and MS Office.\n\nTechnical Skills\nKnowledge of predictive and prescriptive algorithms and their mathematical / statistical background\n\nExperience in at least one of the followings:\nStatistical programming languages: Python, Scala, R\n\nWriting SQL and No SQL queries (PL SQL, T-SQL, Hive, Impala)\n\nBusiness Intelligence platforms such as PowerBI, Qlikview or Tableau\n\nExperience with building solutions with LLM-enabled functionality is a plus\n\nExperience with Azure/Databricks is a plus\n\nSoft
