This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on problem solver who enjoys working closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to bring new products to life.\nAs an Engineering Project Manager, you will lead new product development and process improvement initiatives while serving as a key technical resource throughout the organization.\nProject Management & New Product Development\nLead multiple new and revised product development projects from customer purchase order through successful production launch.\nCoordinate activities related to design, material selection, tooling, process development, validation, and customer approval.\nManage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.\nCommunicate project status and key milestones with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.\nIdentify potential risks and proactively develop solutions to keep projects on track.\nContinuous Improvement & Manufacturing Support\nPartner with operations, quality, maintenance, and production teams to improve manufacturing efficiency, product quality, and workplace safety.\nSupport troubleshooting efforts involving molds, equipment, materials, processes, and manufacturing methods.\nParticipate in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews and collaborate on cost reduction initiatives.\nAnalyze data and implement process improvements that enhance overall operational performance.\nEvaluate, source, and implement new equipment and technologies to support growth and continuous improvement.\nTechnical Leadership\nProvide engineering support for existing products, special projects, and customer requests.\nInterpret engineering drawings and specifications, including GD&T requirements.\nAssist with quality planning, validation activities, and customer-driven engineering changes.\nMaintain documentation and ensure compliance with quality management system requirements.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.\nMinimum of 3 years of project management experience in a custom manufacturing environment.\nExperience managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong customer relationships.\nProficiency in SolidWorks and Microsoft Excel.\nStrong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience sourcing, specifying, and implementing manufacturing equipment.\nKnowledge of automated vision inspection systems.\nExperience with ISO 9001:2015 quality systems and internal auditing.\nKnowledge of:Mold construction\nMachining and metal fabrication processes\nInspection and measurement techniques\nGD&T\nAIAG APQP methodology\nStatistical analysis and process capability\nRubber injection molding\nUrethane casting processes\n\nWhat Success Looks Like\nThe ideal candidate is:\nA proactive problem solver who enjoys tackling challenges head-on.\nComfortable working with everyone from production team members to executive leadership and customers.\nDetail-oriented with a strong sense of urgency and accountability.\nAdaptable and capable of balancing planned project work with unexpected priorities.\nPassionate about continuous improvement and finding better ways to solve problems.\nThe MD Difference\nAt Molded Dimensions Group, our employees are our greatest asset.
