# Engineer

The Museum of Modern Art is currently accepting applications for an Engineer in its Building Operations Department with primary responsibility for ensuring that all Museum buildings are being managed and maintained in a safe and environmentally responsible manner and to the highest level of operational efficiency. Responsibilities: Participates in department record keeping for information sharing, compliance, timekeeping, attendance, and other reporting. Performs preventative maintenance and unscheduled repairs of HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, lighting, electrical, locking mechanisms, life safety systems, and general building maintenance. Operates machinery needed to perform duties as directed. Promotes sustainability by making adjustments to energy consuming systems and incorporating sustainable practices into assignments. Suggests, recommends, and implements approved improvements, alterations, upgrades, or replacement of equipment or systems integral with the buildings. Responds to and completes, in an acceptable time frame, all requests from the Building Operations office. Supervises and coordinates with contractors as directed.
