This position assists operators and crafts as necessary and assigned, with increasing responsibility for operations and product quality.This is a Union Non-Exempt position. The starting pay rate for this role is $27.22 per hour, plus eligible shift differential pay.\nResponsibilities Include:\nArea-specific task requirements as outlined on the job/task qualification documents.\nWork/train anywhere in the area operation as assigned, including assisting with production.\nProperly fill, label, and position all hazardous and non-hazardous waste in identified storage/pickup areas.\nPerform housekeeping to ensure area safety and maintain audit-ready condition.\nComplete equipment clean-outs/turnarounds as required to ensure proper operation.\nFollow all standard operation and business procedures, safety, environmental, and quality guidelines, plant standards, and codes of conduct.\nCommunicate with area Leadership regarding any production, product quality, or safety issues as they arise.\nParticipate in area and business improvement activities, quality, mechanical integrity, and environmental, health and safety (EHS) compliance activities.\nKnowledgeable of OSHA standards and safe work practices.\nAttend leadership and skills training courses as offered.\nDemonstrated ability to drive a forklift truck.\nProperly operate all equipment according to batch sheets, Part V procedures, SOP’s, Engineering Note and/or Manufacturing Instructions\nProperly process all batch sheets to allow for on-time production, quality checks and accurate inventory.\nOther duties as assigned, including but not limited to, snow removal, LOTO activities, and reviewing night notes.\nQualifications:\nThe following are required for the role\nMust have at least a two-year degree from an accredited college/university in a related field or a high school diploma/GED with at least two years of chemical industry experience and/or experience in other manufacturing, warehousing or industrial environments\nAbility to work continuous shift that requires nights, weekends, and holidays\nMust possess a valid driver's license\nMust be 18 years of age or older\nMust have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States\nMust be willing to submit to a pre-employment drug test, physical, and background investigation\nEmployees must meet respiratory protection program requirements applicable to area to be eligible for consideration. \nMust be able to meet the physical demands of the position, with or without accommodation.\nMust have the assets needed to become OSHA certified on the job as required by OSHA 1910.119 \nWhat We Offer:\nThe base salary offered is determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, skill sets, and geography.If you are interested in this position, we’dask that you apply!#BePartoftheSolution\nAt Momentive, compensation is one part of your overall package.
