As an Applications Engineer, you will help ensure that their applications and hosting environments run smoothly.\nYou will act as a bridge between our clients, technology, and engineering teams. You will understand client requirements, configure and deploy applications, troubleshoot technical issues, and support production environments.\nThis role is not limited to application support. It requires a combination of application support, troubleshooting, deployment, infrastructure knowledge, database skills, and basic coding/scripting knowledge. You will work with different technical teams to identify problems, implement solutions, automate repetitive tasks, and continuously improve application reliability.\nWhat You'll Do\nApplication Setup and Deployment\nInstall, configure, and deploy applications on servers and application services.\nSupport application releases, code deployments, and environment setup.\nHandle client requests such as certificate installations, new sites, site updates, overwrites, and vanity URLs.\nPerform functional and integration testing before releases.\nSupport application configuration and environment-related changes.\nTroubleshooting and Production Support\nInvestigate and resolve application errors, access issues, and performance problems.\nAnalyze application and server logs to identify root causes.\nMonitor applications and servers and respond to production incidents.\nTroubleshoot issues across application, server, database, and network layers.\nHelp maintain application availability, performance, and security.\nFollow change management procedures for installations, upgrades, and maintenance activities.\nClient and Team Collaboration\nAct as a technical point of contact for clients and internal teams regarding hosting and application requests.\nUnderstand client requirements and communicate technical solutions clearly.\nManage and prioritize cases in the hosting queue.\nAssign, update, and follow up on cases while keeping clients and hosting partners informed.\nFollow standard operating procedures (SOPs) when handling support cases.\nReview case backlogs and ensure timely updates and resolution.\nManage shared mailboxes and communication with hosting partners.\nTechnical Skills, Coding, and Automation\nWork with APIs, databases, and other systems integrated with application.\nUse basic coding or scripting skills to troubleshoot issues and automate repetitive tasks.\nWrite or modify simple scripts using technologies such as PowerShell, SQL, or other scripting languages.\nDevelop automation where possible to improve application reliability and reduce manual effort.\nUnderstand application configuration, web applications, and basic software development concepts.\nDocumentation and Continuous Improvement\nCreate and maintain SOPs, process documentation, and technical notes for client environments.\nIdentify recurring issues and suggest improvements to processes and applications.\nLearn and support Momentive's association management products.\nWork closely with developers, DevOps, infrastructure, QA, and business teams.\nParticipate in the rotational on-call support schedule.\nWhat You Bring\n1+ years of experience in application support, application implementation, or a similar technical role.\nGood understanding of application troubleshooting and production support.\nWorking knowledge of Windows Server, IIS, Remote Desktop, and Domain Controllers.\nExperience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, CloudWatch, or Pingdom.\nBasic understanding of backups and recovery processes.\nBasic SQL Server knowledge, including writing and understanding simple SQL queries.\nBasic coding or scripting knowledge and the ability to understand or modify scripts.\nExperience with cloud-hosted applications or cloud environments.\nExperience using ticketing or IT service management systems.\nKnowledge of troubleshooting client environments, applications, servers, and networks.\nExperience supporting clients through phone, email, or ticketing systems.\nUnderstanding of change management and controlled deployment processes.\nAbility to analyze logs and troubleshoot technical issues systematically.\nGood communication and problem-solving skills.\nEngineering degree, MCA, MCM, or equivalent technical qualification.\nNice to Have\nAWS, Azure, or Microsoft certifications.\nPowerShell scripting experience.\nKnowledge of ITIL or Microsoft Operations Framework.\nExperience with change management tools.\nExperience monitoring and maintaining distributed applications or systems.\nKnowledge of security best practices and client data protection.\nExperience setting up websites and web applications.\nBasic understanding of firewalls, networking, DNS, and certificates.\nExperience working with APIs and application integrations.\nHow You Work\nYou build strong relationships with clients and colleagues and can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
