impact.\nResponsibilities Include:\nLead Maintenance Process Improvement Initiatives\nEvaluate existing maintenance workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, standardization, and overall maintenance effectiveness.\n\nDevelop and implement solutions that reduce non-value-added activities and improve work execution processes.\n\nSupport productivity initiatives that enhance maintenance performance and workforce efficiency.\n\nSupport Digital Transformation and Maintenance Innovation\nAssist with the digitalization of maintenance processes to improve documentation, traceability, accessibility, and audit readiness.\n\nEvaluate opportunities to automate manual reporting, streamline information flow, and improve data visibility.\n\nSupport continuous improvement projects utilizing digital tools, data analytics, and system enhancements.\n\nEnhance Preventive Maintenance Programs\nReview preventive maintenance strategies and equipment maintenance plans within SAP.\n\nAnalyze maintenance history and equipment performance data to identify opportunities to improve reliability and reduce failures.\n\nSupport optimization of preventive maintenance activities to improve asset performance and operational uptime.\n\nSupport ERP and SAP System Improvements\nParticipate in ERP system transition activities, including data validation, cleanup, testing, process mapping, and documentation.\n\nAssist in developing standard work, job aids, and training materials that support successful system implementation.\n\nHelp improve SAP data quality and reporting capabilities to support informed maintenance decision-making.\n\nAnalyze Maintenance Performance and Reliability Data\nCollect, organize, and analyze maintenance metrics and key performance indicators.\n\nIdentify trends, process gaps, and opportunities for continuous improvement.\n\nDevelop reports, dashboards, and visualizations that support data-driven maintenance planning and execution.\n\nGain Exposure to Maintenance Operations\nWork closely with maintenance supervisors, planners, craftspeople, operations personnel, engineers, and EHS professionals.\n\nParticipate in maintenance planning, scheduling, preventive maintenance activities, work execution reviews, and safety processes.\n\nDevelop an understanding of equipment reliability, asset management, outage planning, and maintenance best practices within a manufacturing environment.\n\nDevelop and Maintain Process Documentation\nCreate and update procedures, standard work instructions, job aids, and process documentation.\n\nSupport continuous improvement efforts by documenting new processes and ensuring consistency across maintenance activities.\n\nAssist in preparing documentation required for audits, compliance reviews, and operational excellence initiatives.\n\nPresent Project Results and Business Impact\nDocument project findings, recommendations, and implementation results.\n\nCommunicate progress and outcomes to maintenance leadership and project stakeholders.\n\nPresent final project results and measurable business impact to site leadership at the conclusion of the internship.\n\nQualifications:\nThe following are required for the role\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or another engineering discipline applicable to an industrial manufacturing environment.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in maintenance, reliability, manufacturing operations, or continuous improvement.\n\nAbility to analyze data, evaluate work processes, and develop practical solutions to operational challenges.\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.\n\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.\n\nEffective written and verbal communication skills.\n\nAbility to work both independently and collaboratively with employees across multiple levels and functions.\n\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.\n\nDemonstrated initiative, curiosity, and willingness to learn.\n\nCommitment to working safely in both office and industrial field environments.\n\nThe following are preferred qualifications:\nCoursework or project experience related to maintenance engineering, reliability, manufacturing systems, industrial operations, project management, or continuous improvement.\n\nExperience working with data analysis, process mapping, workflow improvement, or productivity initiatives.\n\nFamiliarity with SAP, ERP systems, Power BI, Power Automate, or other digital business tools.\n\nExposure to Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Reliability Engineering, or Operational Excellence concepts.\n\nPrevious internship, co-op, manufacturing, or engineering project experience.\n\nProgram Minimum Qualifications:\nThe candidate must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at the time of application and for at least one semester following the conclusion of the internship.\n\nThe candidate is expected to be available 40 hours a week for a period of 10-12 weeks between the months of May and August.\n\nWhat We
