Most importantly, our exceptional employee retention rate reflects a culture of professional growth, mission focus, and dedication-ensuring long-term stability and expertise for our customers’ critical needs.\nJob Summary\nSeeking a Cloud Software Engineer to develop mission-critical software supporting some of the Intelligence Community’s largest distributed computing environments\nThis position works as part of an Agile product development team to build, integrate, deploy, and sustain applications that support large-scale compute clusters operating in highly available, mission-focused environments\nPrimary Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, integrate, test, deploy, and maintain Java-based applications supporting large-scale distributed computing environments\nParticipate in the full Agile software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, software design, implementation, integration, testing, deployment, operations, and sustainment\nDevelop software solutions that integrate with and extend commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and government off-the-shelf (GOTS) technologies\nPerform software code reviews, architecture reviews, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and root cause analysis\nDevelop and implement automated test plans, test scripts, and software validation activities\nSupport software integration and testing across complex distributed environments\nDeploy and manage software using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, and modern CI/CD practices\nDevelop and support software operating within containerized and microservices-based architectures.\nMonitor production systems and diagnose and resolve software and operational issues\nParticipate in Tier III operational and on-call support as required\nDevelop and maintain software for UNIX/Linux operating environments\nCollaborate with software engineers, system administrators, cloud engineers, test engineers, and mission stakeholders to deliver reliable and scalable solutions\nMentor junior developers by providing technical guidance, conducting peer reviews, and sharing software engineering best practices\nSupport continuous improvement of software development, deployment, testing, and operational processes\nRequired Qualifications\nMust have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph\nFive (5) years of experience in software development or software engineering, including experience with requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis and resolution\nFour (4) years of experience developing software using high-level programming languages such as Java, C, or C++\nThree (3) years of experience in software integration and software testing, including development and implementation of test plans and test scripts\nThree (3) years of experience developing software for UNIX/Linux operating systems, including Red Hat environments\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is highly desired and may be considered equivalent to two (2) years of experience\nA master’s degree in a technical field may be considered equivalent to four (4) years of experience.\nDegrees in Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or similar disciplines will be considered technical degrees\nCandidates must possess at least one of the following certifications:\nAWS Certified Developer - Associate\nAWS Certified Machine Learning - Associate\nAWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty\nAWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional\nCertified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)\n\nDesired Qualifications\nExperience with one or more of the following technologies or environments is highly desired:\nApache Hadoop\nApache Accumulo\nApache NiFi\nMongoDB\nActiveMQ or other message broker technologies\nSpring Framework\nPython\nBash scripting\nAmazon Web Services (AWS)\nHybrid cloud environments\nContainerization and microservices\nInfrastructure as Code\nCI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices\nSecurity and compliance best practices\nData warehouses and analytics platforms\nLarge-scale data-flow and distributed processing environments\n\nExempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans.
