critical needs.\nJob Summary\nSeeking a Software Engineer to support the design, development, integration, testing, and sustainment of complex software systems in support of mission requirements\nThis position analyzes user and system needs, develops scalable software solutions, improves existing applications, and works closely with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure software capabilities align with broader system architectures and operational constraints\nThe ideal candidate is an experienced software engineer with strong technical, cloud, DevSecOps, and Agile development experience who can contribute independently while also supporting small-team leadership and continuous process improvement\nPrimary Responsibilities\nSoftware Design and Development\nAnalyze user, mission, and system requirements to support software design, performance expectations, technical feasibility, and implementation planning\nDesign, develop, test, enhance, and maintain software applications and system components\nAdd new features and capabilities to existing software systems while maintaining compatibility and performance\nApply algorithmic thinking to develop efficient, scalable solutions that meet functional and performance requirements\nDevelop and optimize data queries and database interactions ranging from basic data retrieval to complex data-processing logic\nDebug, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve software defects and performance issues\nSupport software installation, configuration, enhancement, and maintenance activities\n\nIntegration, Testing, and Quality\nContribute to with NSA Full Scope Polygraph\nFourteen (14) years of experience supporting programs and contracts of comparable scope, type, and complexity\nBachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Engineering Management, or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution\nFour (4) additional years of software engineering experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree\nExperience analyzing software and system requirements and developing technical solutions\nExperience with software development, integration, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance\nExperience supporting software development within Agile or Scrum environments\nTechnical Qualifications\nJIRA and GitLab: Experience supporting development workflows, issue tracking, source control, and collaborative software development\nAgile/Scrum: Experience with iterative development, sprint planning, backlog management, and Agile team coordination\nInfrastructure as Code: Experience defining, provisioning, and managing infrastructure using Terraform\nAWS Cloud Security: Experience implementing cloud security practices including Identity and Access Management (IAM), network segmentation, encryption, auditing, and resource protection\nCI/CD: Experience designing, implementing, or maintaining Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipelines that automate software testing, building, integration, and deployment\n\nDesired Qualifications\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nAbility to troubleshoot complex software and integration
