Most importantly, our exceptional employee retention rate reflects a culture of professional growth, mission focus, and dedication-ensuring long-term stability and expertise for our customers’ critical needs.\n Job Summary\nSeeking a Software Engineer to join an Agile software development team supporting mission-critical Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) programs\nThe successful candidate will design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise software applications using Java as the primary programming language while leveraging modern frameworks and technologies such as Quarkus and PrimeFaces\nThis role offers the opportunity to expand expertise in Java development, database technologies, and enterprise application development while collaborating with a highly skilled Agile team\nThe ideal candidate is a motivated software engineer with experience developing secure, scalable applications, collaborating directly with customers to refine requirements, and contributing throughout the full software development lifecycle\nPrimary Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, test, integrate, and maintain enterprise software applications using Java and related technologies\nParticipate in all phases of the Agile software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and sustainment\nDesign and implement complex software algorithms that satisfy strict timing, resource utilization, performance, and interface requirements\nDevelop and enhance enterprise applications using Java frameworks such as Quarkus and PrimeFaces\nCollaborate with customers, product owners, and engineering teams to define software requirements, identify system capabilities, and develop technical solutions\nPerform software quality assurance activities, including peer code reviews and quality control of team-developed software products\nRecommend and implement improvements to software development processes, coding standards, documentation, and engineering best practices\nCoordinate software installation, deployment, integration, and operational validation to ensure systems meet functional and performance specifications\nDevelop and optimize SQL queries, database objects, and data access components supporting enterprise applications\nTroubleshoot software defects, diagnose production issues, and implement corrective actions to improve system reliability and performance\nDevelop and maintain technical documentation, design artifacts, interface specifications, and software implementation documentation\nParticipate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, code reviews, demonstrations, and retrospectives\nContinuously evaluate emerging technologies, development frameworks, and software engineering best practices to improve product quality and team efficiency\nRequired Qualifications\nMust have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph\nMinimum of seven (7) years of experience as a Software Engineer supporting programs of similar scope, type, and complexity\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline from an accredited college or universityFour (4) additional years of directly related Software Engineering experience may be substituted in lieu of the degree requirement\n\nStrong experience developing enterprise software using Java\nExperience participating in Agile software development environments\nExperience designing, developing, testing, integrating, and maintaining enterprise software applications\nExperience developing complex software algorithms while meeting system performance, resource, and interface requirements\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nDesired Qualifications\nExperience developing database applications and supporting database-driven enterprise solutions\nExperience with Java enterprise development frameworks, including Quarkus and PrimeFaces\nExperience developing and optimizing SQL queries and database objects\nExperience with PostgreSQL database administration or development\nExperience creating complex database queries, stored procedures, and data retrieval solutions\nExperience utilizing Elasticsearch, including aggregation queries and analytics\nExperience supporting full software lifecycle activities, including deployment, integration, and operational sustainment\nFamiliarity with RESTful web services, distributed systems, and modern software architectures\nExperience with Git, Maven, Jenkins, or similar development and build tools\nExperience supporting Department of Defense or Intelligence Community software development programs\nExempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans.
