If this sounds like you, we should talk.\nJOB SUMMARY\nWe are seeking an Electrical Avionics Engineer to design, build, test, and fly a variety of avionics units to support Momentus vehicles. This includes high-performance, low cost, and low-mass flight computers, cameras, and power systems. The ideal candidate should be accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working on challenging problems.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDevelop avionics units in one or more of the following areas: Flight computer, data handling, and payload interface systems \nPower converters and power distribution systems \nAttitude determination sensors and cameras \nRadio communication systems \nHigh power microwave amplifiers\n\nPerform PCB schematic capture and layout \nPerform detailed technical review of electronics design and PCB layouts\nAssist in developing test plans for flight qualification of avionics (TVAC, vibe, thermal, radiation, EMC/EMI, etc.)\nPreferred Skills and Experience:\nExperience with schematic capture and PCB layout in Altium Designer \nExperience designing electronics for the space environment (LEO, GEO and deep space) including radiation, thermal, and vibe\nExperience defining spacecraft avionics architectures and developing associated budgets\nExperience performing radiation test campaigns\nFamiliarity with embedded software development\nDeep technical expertise in at least one of the following areas: High-speed digital design: FPGAs, microprocessors, high speed memory, high speed communication buses \nPower electronics: power converters, load switches, etc. \nRF electronics: mixers, local oscillators, power amplifiers \nMixed-signal electronics: ADCs and DACs, image sensors, analog front-ends \n\nExperience with circuit simulation software such as LTSpice \nExperience designing fault-tolerant systems \nPrevious experience working on DoD and other USG development and deployment programs\nAbility to hold and maintain a USG Security Clearance\nEducation & Work Experience:\nBS degree in Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline\n5-8 years relevant experience.\nCompensation:\nAnnual Base Salary Range: $140,000 - $175,000/per year\nBase pay is one part of our total compensation package (base+bonus+equity) and is determined within a range. Your actual base salary will be determined on job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience. Our benefit plans include medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k retirement plan, short and long term disability and life insurance. We also offer flexible PTO, along with 11 paid holidays, sick time and paid parental leave.\nThis is a full-time position in San Jose, California.
