If this sounds like you, we should talk.\nJOB SUMMARY\nWe are seeking a Power Systems Engineer to develop, implement, and maintain advanced power systems. The ideal candidate should be accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working on ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and sustainability of the power supply, addressing both the technical and economic aspects of power system design and operation. Energy systems are critical for powering spacecraft and supporting long-duration missions. \nKey Responsibilities: \nDesign, analyze, and support power systems, including power distribution, power conditioning, and battery interfaces \nPerform power budgeting, load analysis, and efficiency trade studies across mission phases \nAbility to analyze and design systems in a collaborative multidiscipline environment \nHigh level of proficiency in circuit analysis, test, and troubleshooting \nWrite clear and concise reports that document your work \nProvide power system expertise during system integration and performance testing \nRequired Skills and Experience \nProficient in all phases of engineering development (requirements, design, test, and production) \nExperience using industry-specific tools to analyze and test electronic systems \nAbility to write technical documents and procedures \nExperience with spacecraft or aerospace power systems, including battery management systems (BMS) \nFamiliarity with power integrity analysis, grounding strategies, and high-current PCB layout techniques \nAbility to work independently \nExcellent technical communications skills \nExcellent written and verbal communication skills \nDesired Skills and Experience: \nPrevious experience working on DoD and other USG development and deployment programs \nAbility to hold and maintain a USG Security Clearance \nEducation & Work Experience: \nMaster's in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent with 5+ years \nBachelor's degree with 10+ years \nCompensation:\nAnnual Base Salary Range: $140,000 - $195,000/per year\nBase pay is one part of our total compensation package (base+bonus+equity) and is determined within a range. Your actual base salary will be determined on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, and location. Our benefit plans include medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k retirement plan, short and long term disability and life insurance. We also offer flexible PTO, along with 11 paid holidays, sick time and paid parental leave.\nThis is a full-time position in San Jose, California.
