If this sounds like you, we should talk.\nJOB SUMMARY\nWe are seeking a Sales Solution Engineer with a mission-first mindset and focus on real operational outcomes. This role owns delivery of customer-facing technology and customer success. The ideal candidate should be accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working on complex challenges.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\nDevelop complete space-based mission concepts supporting proposals based on Momentus offerings and customer needs\nTranslate program needs into technical narratives, clearly explaining how Momentus capabilities map to requirements, constraints, and outcomes\nPitch the technology with credibility, leveraging your space mission and domain background to build trust with program managers and technical authorities\nNavigate programmatic realities, including requirements development, budgeting cycles, contracting pathways, and stakeholder coordination\nPartner closely with product managers and engineers to ensure mission context is accurately reflected in technical scope, tradeoffs, and delivery plans\nPerform engineering trade studies, develop system budgets, and answer system design questions\nPerform spacecraft performance and constellation configuration evaluation\nRequired Skills and Experience\nExperience designing and presenting complex space systems and solutions that bridge the gap between business problems and technology to meet organizational goals, budget, and scalability needs\nExpertise in space systems engineering\nStrong ability to scope, pitch, and sell technical solutions to stakeholders - not just explain missions, but connect them to capabilities\nProven experience navigating programmatic realities, including budgets, requirements, authorities, timelines, and stakeholder dynamics\nAbility to work independently\nExcellent technical communications skills\nGood written and verbal communication skills\nDesired Skills and Experience:\nSpacecraft or space-specific Systems Engineering experience\nHigh enthusiasm for building something new and shaping how cutting-edge technology is adopted\nPrevious experience working on DoD and other USG development and deployment programs\nAbility to hold and maintain a USG Security Clearance\nEducation & Work Experience:\nB.S. in Engineering or related field\n10+ year relevant experience\nCompensation:\nAnnual Base Salary Range: $140,000.00 - $175,000.00/per year\nBase pay is one part of our total compensation package (base+bonus+equity) and is determined within a range. Your actual base salary will be determined on job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience. Our benefit plans include medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k retirement plan, short and long term disability and life insurance. We also offer flexible PTO, along with 11 paid holidays, sick time and paid parental leave.\nThis is a full-time position in San Jose, California.
