Reporting to the Cybersecurity Manager, you will play a key defensive role, in monitoring, analysing and responding to security events across the organisation.\nWorking closely with internal stakeholders and managed security service providers, you'll help strengthen Monadelphous' security posture through incident response, threat analysis, vulnerability management and continuous improvement initiatives.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for someone with Security Operations Centre (SOC), incident response or other defensive cybersecurity experience looking to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative and supportive environment.\nWorking with Monadelphous offers many benefits, some of which include:\nOpportunities for growth and career development within the business.\nA lively, supportive and collaborative team environment.\nWork life balance and flexibility.\nKey Responsibilities:Monitor, investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents, alerts and security events.\nPerform threat analysis, triage, containment and remediation activities for identified security risks.\nManage and coordinate security incidents through ServiceNow, ensuring timely investigation and resolution.\nPartner with managed Security Operations Centre (SOC) to investigate and respond to security events.\nConduct endpoint- and identity-based investigations using industry-leading security monitoring, detection and response tools.\nSupport vulnerability management activities and coordinate remediation efforts with internal stakeholders.\nAnalyse threat intelligence and recommend actions to address emerging cyber threats.\nManage email security activities, including phishing investigations, quarantine reviews and policy administration.\nSupport identity and access management activities, including privileged access reviews, password hygiene and multifactor authentication controls.\nIdentify trends, recurring issues and opportunities to improve security processes and controls.\nCommunicate effectively and respectfully with technical and non-technical stakeholders during incidents and investigations.\nWhat you’ll bring:Essentials:\nPrevious experience in Security Operations Centre (SOC), cybersecurity operations, incident response or a similar information security role.\nExperience investigating and responding to security incidents and cyber threats.\nKnowledge of SIEM platforms, identity and endpoint detection and response technologies, and security monitoring practices.\nExperience with CrowdStrike or similar identity and endpoint security platforms.\nExperience managing security controls within Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.\nExperience with ITIL-aligned service management foundations, using ServiceNow or similar service management and ticketing systems.\nUnderstanding of cyber threat indicators, attack techniques, defensive countermeasures and incident response methodologies.\nKnowledge of email security technologies, data loss prevention controls and identity security principles.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills.\nDesirable:\nKnowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK Framework.\nCISSP or other relevant cybersecurity certification.\nDegree or postgraduate qualification in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Information Technology or a related discipline.\nExperience working with or for managed security service providers.\nExperience in large, complex enterprise environments.\nLife at MonadelphousThere’s lots to get involved in, celebratory or cultural events and so much more.
