A Shift to support its Rochester, NY manufacturing site.\nLocated in Rochester and founded in 1916, G&H | GS Optics specializes in the custom design and manufacture of precision polymer optics used in biomedical, healthcare diagnostics, machine vision, analytical instrumentation, and defense applications.\nThis position is responsible for producing high-quality injection molded optical components through inspection, processing, packaging, and adherence to established manufacturing and quality standards.\nThe position's scope includes:\nInspect and degate injection molded polymer optical lenses of various sizes and geometries. \nPackage finished parts in accordance with customer and production quality requirements. \nRecord production data including cycle times and scrap rates within the ERP system. \nOperate one or more injection molding machines and perform basic secondary operations such as milling. \nMaintain a clean, organized, and contamination-free work environment. \nRead, understand, and follow work instructions, process control plans, and safety procedures. \nCollaborate with engineering, quality, and process technicians to resolve manufacturing issues. \nCommunicate production, equipment, or quality concerns promptly to appropriate personnel. \nAssist with inventory counts and material preparation for incoming shifts. \nSupport continuous improvement initiatives and assist in updating work instructions as needed. \nQUALIFICATIONS\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required. \nPrevious manufacturing, production, or inspection experience required. \nExperience operating or working around injection molding equipment preferred. \nUnderstanding of ISO 9001 quality standards and manufacturing best practices preferred. \nFamiliarity with SPC (Statistical Process Control) methods is a plus. \nBasic computer skills with experience entering production data into ERP systems. \nStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products. \nEffective communication and teamwork skills. \nAbility to work in a clean, precision manufacturing environment. \nCommitment to workplace safety and following established procedures. \nSalary Description\n$18 -
