You'll have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies, work closely with leadership, and develop and implement electrical engineering practices that support our mission and growth.\nYour key responsibilities are as follows:\nRecruit, develop, and manage a team of electrical engineers. \nContribute to the design, integration, verification, and transition to production of complex laser and photonic systems. \nCreate and maintain company-wide electrical engineering processes, standards, and tools. \nBe responsible for the execution of electrical engineering projects across the company, from requirements development and system architecture through design, integration, verification, validation, qualification, and production. \nLead team in developing electrical architecture and design of complex laser, photonic, and electro-optical systems. \nAs a member of the cross-functional leadership team, be responsible for planning and execution of company projects on schedule and to budget. \nPartner closely with Optical, Mechanical, Software, and Manufacturing teams to ensure seamless system-level integration. \nRequirements\nThis position requires access to export-controlled information. Employment is contingent upon the applicant being a U.S. person as defined by 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3). \nExperience:\nDegree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. \n7+ years of relevant experience (including pursuit of relevant higher education), ideally within a startup or technology company. \nSkills and Responsibilities:\nProven record of building and leading engineering teams successfully executing multiple, parallel, complex electrical engineering projects through development, qualification, fielding, and maintenance cycles. \nProficient with Altium Designer for schematic capture, PCB design, layout, and electrical design documentation. \nExperience designing and debugging analog, digital, power, and mixed-signal electronics for complex electro-optical systems. \nExperience with PCB design, signal integrity, power integrity, grounding, shielding, and EMI/EMC considerations. \nOversee the electrical architecture of rack systems housing sensitive fiber-coupled photonic components and associated control electronics. \nDrive the electrical design strategy for laser sources, optical engines, temperature control systems, power distribution, monitoring, and control systems. \nDevelop robust electrical interfaces between laser, photonic, mechanical, and software subsystems. \nEstablish rigorous design-for-manufacturing (DFM) and design-for-assembly (DFA) standards for low-to-mid volume, high-complexity builds and prepare products for future scaling. \nLead electrical design reviews, design verification, qualification, and failure analysis activities. \nPartner with manufacturing and operations teams to develop test fixtures, production test strategies, and electrical manufacturing processes. \nPartner with Optical, Mechanical, and Software teams to ensure seamless hardware-software integration. \nEstablish and maintain engineering documentation, including schematics, PCB layouts, electrical interface control documents, bills of materials, test procedures, and design verification plans. \nSupport troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of electrical and system-level issues throughout development, production, and field deployment. \n.\nBenefits\nThe expected annual salary range for this position is $125,000-$180,000.\nAs a full-time employee, you will be eligible for Monarch’s comprehensive benefits package, which
