This is a dynamic, hands-on role for a self-starter who thrives in a fluid startup environment. Your key responsibilities are as follows: Design, develop, analyze, document and support testing of robust, precision opto-mechanical assemblies. Develop novel laser systems and photonic products for both free space and fiber coupled (single & multimode) outputs. Perform thermal, structural, and vibration modeling of complex opto-mechanical assemblies. Design of flexures for precision motion of optical elements. Engineering analysis to understand how loads and environmental factors affect performance. Design and setup optical metrology and perform engineering tests and design of experiments. Work independently and in a team while over communicating with the manager, project engineer and the teammates. Will mentor junior engineers. Execute complex engineering
