Reporting to the Director of Programming, this position assumes the responsibility to engage residents to participate in activities and programs in Independent, Assisted, and Memory Care. If you have a clean driving record, transferable skills working with Seniors, we will provide training!\nSchedule: Part time\nSalary Range: $19.00 - $20.00 Hourly\nResponsibilities and Duties\nAssists with planning and implementing activities that meet the needs and interests of the residents\nAssists with creating resident histories and profiles with resident/family involvement\nAssumes responsibility for set-up and clean-up of daily activities scheduled\nAssists with creating a monthly social program calendar and distributes them to community personnel and residents\nKeeps residents engaged between planned social activities.\nDrive to and from medical appointments, local events and shopping trips\n One to two years related experience in leading activities for the elderly\nHigh school diploma or higher education preferred\nExcellent verbal and written communication\nWilling to work flexible hours\nProficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to learn new applications\nAbility to drive the community vehicle for resident outings\nPhysical Abilities\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the associate is often required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.\nAn individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in up to 50 lbs.
