This role leads and supports continuous improvement projects focused on cost reduction, increasing product value, and optimizing manufacturing processes. Working closely with production and maintenance teams, the Process Engineer analyzes process data, troubleshoots operational issues, implements sustainable solutions, and supports new products, equipment, and process initiatives to drive overall plant performance.\nYour Mission\nSupport manufacturing and maintenance personnel as needed to resolve process, quality and machine issues \nConduct process and product data analyses to routinely monitor process capability and maintain centerlines \nMaintain process control database \nSource new tooling and equipment; complete POs for approval \nC-BUM champion for assigned area \nPerform risk-assessment and management of change for new processes / machinery \nRecommend machine improvements or replacements based on data and experience (capital or expense items) \nIdentifies cost savings potentials and implementation thereof \nDefines optimal process settings, and standardization across all crews \nSupport manufacturing personnel in identifying root cause and developing corrective/preventative actions associated with both customer and internal complaints \nAssist with training production and maintenance employees on equipment use and function \nSupport the commercialization of new products, processes and equipment \nAssist in the development of Work Instructions (WI) \nTravel to customer and supplier sites as needed \nYour Profile\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline with five years’ experience or over ten years’ relevant experience \nPrevious experience with web handling and converting processes, coating background strongly desired \nPrevious experience in process improvement implementation (quality, output, efficiency, utilization, scrap reduction) \nComputer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS-Project, AutoCAD) \nCompetence in use of statistics & statistically designed experiments (DOE) \nFamiliar with 24 x 7 manufacturing environment/requirements \nPrevious experience working with integrating electrical and mechanical systems and/or PLC experience (Siemens, Allen-Bradley) is a plus \nSix Sigma/Lean certification or Project Management Certification, a plus\nPrevious experience working in a regulated environment (ISO, GMP) preferred \nOur Offer:\nComprehensive base salary ($80,000-$95,000/YR) plus incentive (10%) \nFull Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance\n401k Retirement Savings Plan, fully vested and company match\nAn interesting job within the packaging & paper industry\nOpportunities for professional growth\nWhy join Mondi?\nAt Mondi, you’ll be part of a global team shaping the future of sustainable packaging and paper.
